=Mount=

'''Mounts''' are item classes for Artifacts and Possessions that are used to represent horses, wargs, and other steeds. Uniquely among Possessions, there is a special term for "Character has a mount Possession", which is simply "Character is mounted".

As might be expected,[Rohan] Culture dominates the scene when it comes to mounts, not just with number of mount cards, but also with cards that grant bonuses or less stringent costs when mounted companions are involved. [Isengard] also has a[[warg-rider]] sub-culture that can be quite scary within movie block, and[Orc] takes up the tradition post-Shadows.

Free Peoples mounts tend to exert minions right before a skirmish, granting free wounds and are quite potent on cards such as Eoywn, Lady of Ithilien. Shadow mounts tend to be like beefy weapons, offering strength and/or vitality boosts, as well as optionally adding Fierce, Damage + 1, or other such goodies.

In spite of being quite prominent, mounts are still merely Possessions, so they are susceptible to all forms of[[possession hate]], and so primarily have to worry about that more than anything.
