General Strategy
A generic site 2 that is useful for just about any fellowship, Trollshaw Forest particularly benefits [Dwarven] and [Gondor] free peoples, choke decks, and forest users. With most site 2 in Fellowship Block focusing on Nazgul and Hobbits, Trollshaw Forest breaks the mold a bit and provides a solid haven for decks that run into a big minion or are forced to stop early.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strong Versus...
- [Dwarven], [Gondor], and Gandalf companions have the most possessions and artifacts in Fellowship block.
Weak Versus...
- Site two is a tough place to stop for most Fellowships, who prefer to start a turn at a sanctuary. Against a fast-moving opponent, stopping at Trollshaw Forest for a little extra cycling may put you too far behind on the site path.
Extra Information
This site draws a card for each possession or artifact played on a companion; however, the first artifacts were not added to the game until the Mines of Moria set.
