I really hate dwarves.  They're really annoying.  They can get pumped up to huge strength with all of their axes/rings/possessions, prevent wounds with bracers, severely choke the twilight pool, Discard all your conditions with blood runs chill, wipe out all the cards in your draw deck.  It seems that all resistance is in vain.

But I found an evil counter.  Splashing in Grima, Wormtongue will work wonders!  Since a dwarf will be bearing 5+ cards,  it is possible to send all 10+ cards from 2 dwarves back to the opponent's hand.  Wonderful, isn't it?

Benefits: Sending all these cards back will do wonders if you have a particularly good play of minions on the table.  Indirectly it will ease double-moving, as your opponent will have to keep all these cards in hand to keep his dwarves competitive, but cramping his shadow.

yep... my only question is: did you use the search function to find that grima is the best counter to possession saturated dwarves?

yea, that is nasty alright, wouldnt hurt to play 1.... but so often if will be worthless if you get it too early or not soon enough or are playing a different deck..... but in reality most people seem to play 3 cards on at least 1 companion.....

I just beat a dwarf deck. Troll of Cirith Gorgor did the trick. On top of that grond was a helpful card as well. Troll at strength 27 laying the beat down on Durin twice then in regroup phase tossed the endurance of dwarves to kinda deal the fatal blow Thumbs Up. Grima is indeed a nice route as well.

Macheteman:  Haha I actually thought Grima was a popular counter, but no, I didn't use the search function.

Yeah Grima may seem a little specific (at least meta-specific) and timings need to be right.
Glad to hear of your victory, Nappy!

Slaked Thirsts is a common counter to Grima.

You can beat dwarves with Dunland men if you play them right, as Dunland can toss out fairly large minions without too much twilight, and they punish the Freeps player for possessions. But Dunland can also be very unreliable and has a tendency to clog.
