Title: Lord of the Rings Tattoos
Post by: Witchkingx5 on July 27, 2010, 02:17:55 AM
Well, I was at the Alpamare (http://www.alpamare.ch/) yesterday (that's why I couldn't response to your PMs. Sorry guys!) and I saw a women with her husband and her daughter, and her back was just full of LotR tattoos. If I remember correctly, there were Elrond, Arwen, Legolas, Gandalf, a Nazgul, The Witch-King, Lurtz (with a really bad picture) and the one ring on it.

Have you also seen something like that before, or do you have any LotR tattoos? I'm just curious.

Why would anyone want Elrond on them?

Perhaps if you are a huge fan of Mr Smith in the Matrix.

Then I'd rather have a Mr. Smith tatoo instead of Elrond...

I think that anyone with a Lord of the Rings tattoo would have to use some pretty extreme Elvish magic to ever get laid.

You guys mean Agent Smith.. Mr. XD.

I have tatoos, no lord of the rings ones, but I could come up with a wicked full-back design for a balrog...

there's a lotr parody I saw about 3 days ago where they make fun of this fact. Like the scene in Rivendell, where Frodo lies in his bed, and then ask Gandalf:

Frodo: "So, what's important at all?"
Gandalf: "According to the doctrines of El Bond (Elrond), only Afro (hairstyle)"
El Bond (walking in the room): "And the Matrix, Mr. Anderson!"

another one is Gandalf and El Bond discussing about Saruman:
Gandalf: "What time is it?"
El Bond: "What the heck? We're talking about serious stuff and you ask me what time it is?"
Gandalf: "Yes. What time is it?"
El Bond: "That was a déjà-vu. I feel an error in the Matrix.."

Just my thoughts to that observation. Matrix 1 was a great movie, the other two were really, really bad though.

Or a ring tattoo. Like, "I wield the ring of power" (unless you get married, put your wedding band over it and the ring of power is passed to your wife).

Mostly unrelated: At some point in my life, I am going to get a tattoo of Darth Vader riding a Charizard. And it will be glorious.

FWiW whenever I play LOTR or any CCG I play tat matches.... Loser Gets a Tat!
