It does indeed heal Alcarin. There’s another assignment phase for fierce skirmishes, so you can still use assignment abilities and events.

Yeah, but even then you’d have to wait till SftS came into your hand, and it’s vulnerable to possession removal. Plus this way the Ring-bearer is super strong.

I think I might pass on another deck with Gandalf and Hobbits... my Saved From the Fire deck and my G for Trust Me deck both use Gandalf + Hobbits.
