Gondorian Merchant is great! He cycles your hand, and it’s not all that easy to raise the site number of minions in the maneuver phase (especially since Madril is X-ed in Standard format).

As far as I know, the only wound prevention that the
 culture has is Gorgoroth Soldier and Mordor Brute.

Stacked cards lose all their wound tokens and all cards that are played on them.
