9 strength means nothing and having one companion who can achieve a higher strength with artifacts isn’t a big deal. Also, there aren’t many possessions around to boost them a bit. Elves are power...

Yeah, maybe that could work but still such kind of minions are useful if you can play cheap minions from the discard pile, thing where Uruk-Hai aren’t that good!
