Both War Towers and Vengeful Wild Man add one threat, plus one for each companion over four, I believe.

I like to draw a distinction between cards that are "spectacular" (think Sauron, The Lord of the Rings) and cards that are "efficient" (think Double Shot). Of course, some cards can be both, and many...

I just noticed that as well.
