Gondor dosn’t shoot people (With the exception of Aragorn). They fight in the skirmish phase for the most part so a card that gives you a free pass (IE a turn without having to waste resources fight...

Hobbits are amazing against Corsairs and Morcs. As long as they can get set up pretty quick you have a real shot against both.
