I liked the idea. The greatest part you missed is that you can activate the Entity’s ability for 1 mana, making everyone 1/1, a TON of times, getting the Searblades HUGE! I like Inner-Flame Accolyte...

I like it, but I’d bring in some more removal, specially in the form of Tarfire and Nameless Inversion, since Wort can get THOSE back as well.

Summon the School is what makes Merfolk click, letting you tap them "for free" to grab it back. If you have free ways to discard it, like Oona’s Prowler or something, all the better.

Easier to run it in extended, using fetchlands to grab duals (remember, a singledual is both a plains and a swamp, for instance, so 3 duals can give you the whole Domain), and Transguild Courier.
