Absolutely correct, the creature cannot stay in play unless you have something like glorious anthem or veteran armorer out first.

The thing is, though, getting a kiki on turn six is okay. You don't need him fast, just eventually.

I think Bops over tuskers could be good. Bops let you throw down a second turn husk, which is always fun, and are a +2/2. After beating your deck with my T2 in school, I think tempo is your only pro...
