I knew there was something I wasn’t getting to this card. Basically you are betting the bearer can take any minion that might show up, and the payoff is in the regroup.

Slow-kindled Courage seems like a powerful card; just assign all the minions to Pippin or Merry and then cancel the skirmish with No Visitors or something.
