hahahaha! ok you have hit a hard spot on me too! I am Texan to the core. I have something to say. Dallas has about 2,000,000 people in it. Not subtract that from about 20,000,000 and you have only a few people, follow that up by saying that you talked to everybody in Dallas, (which you haven’t) and then throw all Texans into the same catagory.
I know alot of Texans, and they are some of the nicest people I know, then I have met people from other states, CA, CO, etc and they are snobs! then I have met people who are Texans and are snobs. I can say that the rest of the U.S. are all snobs, because I have met a few snobs, but that isn’t true.
As for Texan independance... We will protect ourselves from liberal CA, NY and any other state if need be, because when it comes to the point of being arrested for shooting a dog that is killing you wife, we won’t abide by that. (A true story that happened in CA.) We don’t want the mess that the U.S. is in.
I have almost nothing against Kansas except about how prideful about their state they are. (where have I heard that one from?) That is what you are saying about my state. does it stir you up to have it shot back? it does to me.
Now as to if Texas can stand on its own. We only have our own airforce power, partial navy, army, we are one of the cheif suppliers of oil and wer have nuclear weapons. we have all the resources necissary to provide for ourselves, and we would have a friend in the U.S. We could probably survive.
as for a battle between states, I don’t really care who would win, because it won’t happen.
I think we may want to drop this topic before we become enemies, (or is it too late?).
Sorry you feel that way about Texas, because alot of the people are cool.

There is a power in this world beyond any of us, and Jesus is that power and The Savior.
this is my attempt to look cool.

Oh, by the way, everyone is entitled to their own openion. I have been to Texas, and Dallas is probably the worst place to get a first oppenion. Any large city is for that matter.

By the way, when I went to Texas, most of the people I met were nice. |

Maybe because this post was initially about the 2007 LOTR Frennch Championship???
The Championship is now is 3 days, and we had a lot of fun deckbuilding! I will try to make a small report if you are interested.
