Uh, I don’t think so. I guess that was just Tolkien’s "literary eloquence." |
I had to put something here. |

Actually, that quote is in reference to Frodo.
J.R.R. Tolkien wrote: ’Ride forward! Ride!’ cried Glorfindel to Frodo.
He did not obey at once, for a strange reluctance seized him. Checking the horse to a walk, he turned and looked back. The Riders seemed to sit upon their great steeds like threatening statues upon a hill, dark and solid, while all the woods and land about them receded as if into a mist. Suddenly he knew in his heart that they were silently commanding him to wait. Then at once fear and hatred awoke in him. His hand left the bridle and gripped the hilt of his sword, and with a red flash he drew it.
’Ride on! Ride on!’ cried Glorfindel, and then loud and clear he called to the horse in the elf-tongue: noro lim, noro lim, Asfaloth!
Still a nifty quote. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Ranger. Hunter 1.
While skirmishing a roaming minion, Aragorn is damage +1.
Regroup: Exert Aragorn twice and spot another ranger to reconcile your hand and remove .
”’…Aragorn has gone with Elrond’s sons.’”
I think the regroup seems too good to be permanently on somebody, unlike lembas etc... Maybe remove the remove 3 bit.
None Will Ever Return
Condition • Support Area
To play, exert an Elf.
Response: If a minion is played, spot 2 Elves and add a burden or a threat to make that minion’s site number +2 until the regroup phase.
”’A strong company of Orcs has passed.’”
Cool.
Blade of Rivendell
Possession • Hand Weapon
Strength +1
Bearer must be an Elf. If bearer is a ranger, bearer gains hunter 1.
Each time bearer wins a skirmish, you may exert a minion (or wound a minion if you can spot a roaming minion).
”His hand left the bridle and gripped the hilt of his sword, and with a red flash he drew it.”
Wow the exerting someone else ability is too good especially without the wounding bit.
