2 Horse of the Mark Rohan
Possession • Mount
Strength +1
To play, spot a Rohan Man. Bearer must be a hunter companion.
At the start of each skirmish involving bearer, each minion skirmishing bearer must exert.
“...he saw not a shadow, nor a blur, but the small figures of horsemen, many horsemen, and the glint of morning on the tips of their spears was like the twinkle of minute stars beyond the edge of mortal sight.”

Nice, I guess. I’m sure it has uses, but I’d rather use the below mount.

1 Éored Steed Rohan
Possession • Mount
Bearer must be a Rohan Man.
Each time bearer wins a skirmish, you may exert a minion (or wound a minion if bearer is a hunter).
“Merry and Pippin heard, clear in the cold air, the neighing of war-horses, and the sudden singing of many men.”

Fun. I would use it! Thumbs Up

1 Bow of the Mark Rohan
Possession • Ranged Weapon
Bearer must be a Rohan Man.
If bearer is at a battleground or plains site, he or she gains hunter 1.
At the end of each archery phase, if the fellowship archery total is 1 or less, make the fellowship archery total +1.
“...some of the horsemen had bows in hand, and their arrows were already fitted to the string.”

Maybe should be "you may make the archery total...."

Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true.

works for me. would splash well with stuff like grey ships and take up the bow and the one that wounds minions with archery and has a pick of leggo triple shooting.

Interesting, but alright.

Eeeesh. Too much direct wounding could be bad. Maybe choose a shadow player to wound one of their minions... that’s more Rohan’s style.

Very interesting, but I think too good. Horse of Rohan was 2 without the strength bonus. It’s a tough call though, because the other one didn’t require hunter companions. Not sure what I’d go with. Perhaps costing 1 with an exertion?

This feels like a Gondor mount, not a Rohan mount. Still, EL’s right about choosing a Shadow player feeling a lot more in their style.

Does this card trigger in time to count up archery wounds? Seems fine if it does.

Mixed comments on Horse of the Mark and Bow of the Mark, but the majority of folks seem to think they’re alright, so I’ve left them alone. However, I did tweak Éored Steed as EL and Thran suggested. Thumbs Up

Lots of possessions = a good time for a certain doorwarden to make his appearance. Smile Along with him is one of our last Éored riders. Enjoy!

2Háma, Captain of Meduseld Rohan
Companion • Man
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Signet: Théoden
To play, spot a Rohan Man.
While at a dwelling or sanctuary, Háma gains hunter 1.
Response: If a Shadow possession is played, exert Háma to return that possession to its owner’s hand (or discard it, if you can spot Théoden or 3 valiant Men).
“‘I am the Doorward of Théoden. Háma is my name. Here I must bid you lay aside your weapons before you enter.’”

2Ceorl, Weary Defender Rohan
Companion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Valiant. Hunter 1.
When you play Ceorl, exert him twice.
Each time an opponent is about to replace or take control of a site, he or she must remove [X], where X is Ceorl’s vitality.
Maneuver: Exert Théoden, Théodred, or Éomer to heal Ceorl.
“‘You come at last, but too late, and with too little strength. Things have gone evilly since Théodred fell.’”

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

A fine take on the Hama possession-hate, but I probably wouldn’t use him over some of the others. Maybe a conditional hunter bonus? Like when he’s skirmishing a minion bearing a possession?

Very very weird. I like him though, nice ideas. I think he deserves a GP

Wow...Thranduil encouraging me to ADD hunter? What is the world coming to? Laughing

I’ll think on that...though I’d actually lean against hunter for him, since I’m trying to reserve that for wartime riders like Éomer, Erkenbrand, and...well, Ceorl. Smile For now, I’ll hold off for another review or two.

I did say conditional hunter. Or then a conditional strength boost, just +1 would be enough to make me want to use him more.

Cool but as Thran ironically suggests he could have something else, maybe not a hunter bonus but it really does limit his usefulness if its too focussed on shadow possessions.

Id phrase it when you play Ceorl, exert him twice. Wo. Crazy. Not sure what to say really. Again limited usefulness but comes into his own when specifically needed. Nice idea but id never use him.
