Here is a pipeweed deck that I have made recently...
Starting Fellowship:
Frodo, Resolute Hobbit
The One Ring, Such a Weight to Carry
Sam, Steadfast Friend
Gandalf, Leader of Men
Companions:
Gimli, Son of Gloin 2x
Legolas, Elven Comrade 2x
Aragorn, Heir of Elendil 2x
Artifacts:
Narya
Gandalf’s Staff
Anduril, King’s Blade
Possessions:
Gimli’s Battle Axe
Hand Axe
Gimli’s Pipe 2x
Aragorn’s Pipe 2x
Bilbo’s Pipe
The Gaffer’s Pipe 2x
Gandalf’s Pipe 2x
Glamdring
Hobbit Sword 2x
Longbottom Leaf 2x
Old Toby 4x
Conditions:
Final Count 2x
My Axe is Notched 2x
The Nine Walkers
Endurance of Dwarves
G for Grand 3x
Unknown Perils 2x
Events:
Durin’s Secret 2x
Fireworks 4x
Saved from the Fire
Well Met Indeed
Stratagem:
Now, FYI, I do not truly advocate smoking of any kind (or eating of children for that matter), but, in LOTRTCG, well, smoking is just plain fun.
Now, I shall talk of the companions:
Frodo. Has a high resistance. Allows you to go first, as you may wan’t to out run the bad guys as fast as you can!!! I usually bet 4-6 with this deck, and those burdens will be removed.
Gandalf. The almighty center of the deck, without him this deck wouldn’t be feasable. So he’s in the starting fellowship.
Sam. Gives others a resistance bonus (for G for Grand).
Aragorn. With his sword, he’s strength 10 and defender +2. Not bad.
Legolas. Quick power up to any companions (especially Gimli). And an archer. Who can complain?
Gimli. Power boy. Give him endurance and his weapons and he’ll be able to plow throught the moderately toughest of minions.
Conditions:
G for Grand. Who can complain, with all 3, that’s 3 extra strength bonuses to everyone!
Unknown Perils. Exert Gandalf to prevent wounds. Sweet!
Endurance of Dwarves. Adds another pipe or +2 strength to Gimli.
The Nine Walkers. Play guys for free.
My Axe is Notched + Final Count. With These, and G for Grand, watch out for Gimli and Legolas!!!
Events:
Fireworks. Gets back Pipweed.
Durin’s Secret. Allows you to run faster.
Saved from the Fire. Place Gandalf in the Dead pile to get back 2 cards and a:
Well Met Indeed. Play Gandalf from your dead pile. Keep the center alive.
Possessions:
Gimli’s Axes. Just extra strength!
All Pipes. Just guess what they’re there for...
Glamdring. Makes Gandalf stronger.
Hobbit Sword: Protect the Hobbitses!
Longbottom Leaf. Just there for the Pipes.
Old Toby. Draw a card, discard to remove burdens/wounds/twilight then get back with fireworks. Fun
Artifacts:
Anduril. Make Aragorn defender +2.
Narya. Remove burdens and allow more exerting of Gandalf.
Gandalf’s Staff. More exertions and spells cost less. Or put a biggie on him and cancel the skirmish
...I hope that made sense... |

Well, I was genna make another, but I saw a bunch of these cards just lying there and they screamed "PIPE." I played a weaker version of this deck against Phazanzar's "Fire and Foul Fumes" deck (which was mine to start with thank you very much) and I only had 1 Gandalf's Pipe and never drew it so I was wounded up the Wazoo! |

Well, I took this deck for a spin against Phazanzar. I was able to beat off his "Moria Biggies" without many casualties. Just Sam who died, and Aragorn was used as a scape-goat to take a ferocious beating at site 8. Phazanzar only won after he was able to out run me. I decided not to move after site 5 because I played a series of cards that gave him 37 twilight. He was able to play all the minions he was able to muster. But I shrugged it off. |

A friend played his nazgul against this deck. He never stood a chance. I beat him down terribly (my nazgul have to take some of the credit). |

actually something fun to do with pipes is use gondor bowman with legolas greenleaf the tenth set aragorn with first set common pippin the first set rare merry and the third set frodo. that way you can use frodo’s for archery and then move wounds around to make the most of your pipeweeds. also with the redbook you can draw a card for every tale you play. use greenleaf and aragorn to shoot off a bunch of minions or use gondor bowmen to shoot them off. then you can use bilbos pipe to shuffle all of your gondor bowmen back into your draw deck. You need to make your deck relatively small though to make sure that you can keep drawing them over and over again, you use bilbo to shuffle your pipeweeds back in and you can have in theory 10 archery every site. and can heal completely every time you stop. Anyway give me some feeback on my ideas |
