I recently made this deck. I made my friend scowl and call the deck "gay" several times. (He wasn’t too happy with what I could do). He told me that I better post it on the boards. So here it is in all of it’s glory.

Free Peoples(60 cards):

Starting Fellowship:

Gimli, Bearer of Grudges

The One Ring, Answer to All Riddles

Durin III, Dwarven Lord

Linnar, Dwarven Lord

Companions:

Uri, Dwarven Lord

Dwarf Guard x4

Farin, Dwarven Emissary

Gloin, Friend to Thorin

Sindri, Dwarven Lord

Dwarven Warrior x2

Fror, Gimli’s Kinsman x2

Possessions/Artifacts:

Dwarven Armor x4

Dwarven Bracers x4

Gimli’s Helm x2

Book of Mazarbul x3

Dwarven Axe x3

Ring of Accretion

Ring of Guile

Ring of Retribution

Conditions:

Lord of Moria x4

Till Durin Wakes Again x2

Events:

Disquiet of Our People x4

Delving x4

Here Lise Balin, Son of Fundin x4

Tidings of Erebor x4

Still Draws Breath x3

Stratagey:

Now, there are a lot of cards here. But who cares, I’ve decked out by site 8 with this deck. The idea probably would be to get a Book of Mazarbul out by site 4. That way you will draw the optimum amount of cards.

 Companions:

There are plenty of companions to go around, since this deck doesn’t have you expecting to win a lot of skirmishes, but, instead have a "suicide" dwarf to take the blunt of the attack of minions, sacrificing them if necessary, or just wounding them greatly. For the first few sites this deck will seem like a choke deck, but when you decide to start playing 9 companions by site 4 and a Book of Mazarbul, it doesn’t seem so choking anymore.

Possessions: They are there to keep your guys from being killed. Not much more, dwarven armor is the best thing here, keeps your guys from being overwhelmed. Dwarven Bracers and Gimli’s Helm prevents wounds.

 Conditions:

Till Durin Wake again heals dwarves when you move from underground sites, and Dwarven Lord keep’s Gimli’s resistance up.

 Events:

Disquiet of our People makes a suicide dwarf, spot an orc and exert a Dwarven Guard and take out the 3 most powerful minions. Delving and Tidings of Erebor draw 3 cards, part of the rapid draw. Here Lies Balin, Son of Fundin kills an orc or 2. Still Draws breath heals dwarves.

The whole idea is to draw as many cards as you can to get the shadow side set up for your shadow turn.

Shadow:

Minions:

Ulaire Toldea, Eighth of the Nine Riders x2

Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul x2

Ulaire Enquea, Ringwraith in Twilight x2

Ulaire Attea, The Easterling x3

Ulaire Attea, Black Predator x1

Ulaire Nelya, Ringwraith in Twilight x3

The Witch-King, Lord of the Nazgul x2

The Witch-King, Lord of Angmar x2

Possessions/Artifacts:

The Pale Blade x2

Black Flail

Morgul Blade

Fell Beast x4

The Witch-King’s Beast, Fell Creature

Ring of Rancor x2

Ring of Asperity x2

Conditions:

Spied from Above

Stooping to the Kill

Lingering Shadow x3

The Ring Draws Them x3

Blade Tip x3

Sense of Obligation x2

Events:

Wraith-World x2

Dark Whispers x3

Return to It’s Master x2

Resistance Becomes Unbearable x3

The Will Find The Ring x2

In the Ringwraiths Wake x3

It Wants to Be Found x2

Stratagey:

Add Burdens.

ex. The Witch-King, LOTN + Fell Beast, Black Flail, Ring of Rancor = Dead Ring-Bearer (or close). |

I may be wrong, but I think Book of Mazarbul doesn't work anymore, because "site 4" refers to Fellowship block. It had to be spelled "any site 4" to work with the new path.

If it's true, the whole idea collapses, unless you play No pauses, No Spills x4 |

I have always played that it works with Shadow sites as well, Site 4 refers to the 4th site played, therefore it should work with the shadow sites... Also, even so, Book of Mazarbul is rotated out so it wouldnt work too well with standard play anyway.... |

We usually play fellowship anyway.

Though me and tOO have been moving towards shadow sites (although nobody else in our group will ) |

Well, does anyone else have anything to contradict the deck that so far I consider my "masterpiece?"

| I think your event abuse is more solid, but that is just me. |
