Yep, with all his wounding he won’t need any strength boosts. |

maybe. get this though: each time actions occur before response actions. so if gollum wins a skirmish, you can use Incited to pull YaLaaT from your discard pile and play it immediately! But of course you are also using Incited to pull back freeps cards... however, if a companion begins with more than 6 resistance, do you have any ways to lower it? Sudden Strike might fail against hobbits... but then again thats where They Stole It would shine!
Its really your choice i suppose. |

It doesn’t really matter if Gollum is strength 5 or 6, since Gollum will be winning skirmishes using They Stole It and Promise Keeping. Besides, with only 1 copy of it, it probably won’t see much play anyway.
I guess you are right. |

Thanks for the ideas everyone.
I agree that I don’t need to win a lot of skirmishes because of Gollum’s wounding capabilities, yet I would not completely disregard Chasm’s Edge and Slippery as Fishes. Later in the game, once you have four or five burdens on your opponent’s Ring-bearer, Gollum, Stinker has a chance to do some serious damage. He’ll already be strength 10 or so, and with two copies of Chasm’s Edge and Slippery as Fishes (and perhaps Plotting as well) he can reach 18 strength. And each time he wins a skirmish, he adds another burden (making him 19 strength during the fierce skirmish, and so on). Not too bad.
Orian: I’ll give Naked Waste and Unseen Foe a try as well. The Gondorian Blade does the same thing as Faramir’s Sword for one less twilight (except Faramir’s Sword makes minions roaming while skirmishing Faramir, but I don’t really need that in this deck). I’m still deciding between the Ring of Rings and Answer to All Riddles, since both would help this deck tremendously. I’ll try them both out and see what happens. |

So Polite wouldn’t be a good choice, because Gollum probably won’t ever be in your discard pile. At least, not often enough for you to get good twilight payback for the card. |

Neither of those companions would be good without support cards, which would dilute the deck. |
