How about Smaug?

Smaug
Diamond-bellied Worm

Twilight Cost: 12
Strength: 20
Vitality: 5
Site Number: 6

Damage +2. Fierce.

Make Smaug strength +1 for each Man you can spot. Exert Smaug three times to discard every possession.
I had to put something here.

Well, during what phase do you exert him 3 times to discard every possession?

(10) Smaug
Bain of Dwarves and Men

strength 15
vitality 5
site 6

Damage+1 Fierce

while smaug is at a forest or river site, skip the archery phase, and he is strength +1 for each dwarf and Gandalf man you can spot.
Regroup: exert Smaug three times to discard a archer while at a river site.
Regroup: exert smaug three times to discard two possesions (or three dwarven possesions) while at a forest site.

Good suggestion, ingold55. However, I think that although Smaug is not as well known or as greatly feared as the Balrog, he has a greater strength. The Balrogs are very strong, yet Smaug.... is awesome. I mean, check out The Hobbit and how much treasure he has. And his ability to detect the slighest movement (also in The Hobbit). And to my knowledge, Balrogs cannot talk. Smaug can. Which has nothing to do with his strength but is still cool. Anyway, I think that Smaug has well earned being a 20 strength.

I believe if the Balrog were a new character in today's tcg sets (with no previous governing game texts) they would make the Balrog a heck of a lot stronger than 17. In ages past (2002-2003 to be exact) the Balrog was a terror to behold, with the hightest strength of all minions. But alas, with RoTK, there came some besiegers that had highter strength than the Balrog. But, in all the Balrogs are maiar, very (I mean very) powerful beings. Smaug is a dragon, an extinct (as far as we know) race. I believe that Smaug does deserve his 20 strength, but the Balrog still deserves more than 20.

Ranger Warriors

companion man
Ring-bound Ranger

strength 10
vitality 4
rsistance 6

defender+1
while at a forest or river site, each minion played is twilight cost +2 and site +2
Skirmish: Exert Ranger Warriors twice to discard a possesion borne by a minion he is skirmishing.
There is a power in this world beyond any of us, and Jesus is that power and The Savior.

Cool this is my attempt to look cool.

Congratulations on 200 posts, ingold55.
Great suggestion, theOmnipotentOne. I know that the Balrog should be higher than a 20 strength, but look; Sauron is underestiamted. Sauron should be a 30, the Balrog, a 25, and Smaug, a 20.

Woah! Hold on there! Sauron at 30 would be WAAAAY overdoing it! I actually think that Sauron is fine, balrog is fine, but there shouldn't be anything else inbetween. These new 22 strength trolls, and 19, 20 and 21 strenth orcs are overdoing it. What I believe is orcs = 5-10 strength. Trolls = 12-16 strength. Balrog 17 and Sauron maybe 21-24. Decipher just wanted to sell some uberstrong cards and now has to revamp many fellowships because of it.
