i haven’t had a chance to try it on wraiths, but it has worked well against everything else. try Southron archers / corruption attack. it is effective! um i will check out me cards to get more ideas. as everyone else has said try condition discarders. they work amazingly! play los Caradras to discard all conditions, then play your conditions. it works...
that is all i can think of for now. |

I’m not sure of all the discussion so far on this thread because I am so lazy or maybe just no time to read, but I use gondor wraiths as my new primary deck. I know how to kill these guys and what they can stop surpisingly.
Swarm: Good luck to the shadow! Wraith can easily take the worst.
They are defender +alot.... I once held 11? minions 9-17 strengths with 5-6 companions. Only one died.
Strength: A well built deck can handle the most extremely powerful minions. Base strengths of 11-16 for every companion except Frodo! Then pumps. Funny thing is, even if they lose, it doesn’t matter. Who cares?! They can’t take wounds.
Corruption: There are little strategies they can use to slow it, but corruption is a huge problem. Wraiths have many events, so [orc] corruption in pritty easy to hold. Anything else, I usually find myself racing to site 9, slaughtering anything in my path. (and I DO NOT play anything on my shadow phases! This chokes his shadow and may give you just enough time)
Archery: There are so many companions so much health so very strong. I played the worst of archery and came out ready for more! Many people say archery is the way to stop this strategy, but I say definately not. A well built deck will have thought of that and planned accordingly. My deck loves to play archery! Citadel of minas tirith works wonders, but is only good if you are playing an archery deck.
STRATEGIC WOUND: This is the one all will fear when using wraiths... NOT! Why on earth would you make a deck like this that utilizes it’s own wounds and not put 4 Gondor will see it done and at least a Guardian?
(but Southrons are just scary) Rallying Call is the one single card I hate to see in my opponent’s support area. It is just too good. My enduring southrons vs. my gondor wraiths is pitiful to watch. Just a slaughter field.
So I say that heavy corruption (besides [orc] corruption) or Southron is the way to go. |
