With the new ARB’s, a lot of successful Solo decks have been built. What about Solo Gandalf?
Need some Suggestions. |

Well...Gandalf doesn’t have much twilight control. His cards have a high twilight cost, usually. But he’ll rarely run into corruption problems, although you do have to keep cards in hand to discard. Which means you’ll almost never double-move.
But I’m no Gandalf expert. |

Actually tjhat doesn’t even help cuz you have to spot 2 more companions. the main thing if your going to go solo is high amounts of burden removal. |

the best solo is smeagol. otherwise you pretty much have to run a pippin engine. |

Maybe an almost solo Gandalf?
One of the best gandy-burden-removal-cards (watch and wait) can’t be used in a solo’s deck.
You could put pippin,HoSI and put those several hobbits-burden-removal-cards from FOTR block. |

Glamdring, Foe-Hammer is a clear must...keep an eye out for the SNOLINKhadowfax from Rise of Saruman, too:
•ShadowfaxNOLINK (subtitle unknown)
Possession • Mount
Strength +1
Vitality +1
Resistance +1
Bearer must be a Wizard. Discard all other possessions on bearer and bearer may not bear a hand weapon.
Skirmish: Add a threat to remove a burden.
I think I’ve got that right...in a pinch, it can get rid of one burden. But it also increases resistance.
WKBC, good catch on that burden thing. |

Solo Gandalf is almost a gauranteed loss every game unless your opponent plays minions during the shadow phases.
Just like a Dwarven/Sauron/Orc discard strategy...
As long as you don’t play any minions and double move each turn, you can beat it. (if your already in the lead) |
Some of the best scenarios on EE...

Yeah...unless you supplement it with burden removal like Elf-Song. Which isn’t strictly a solo RB either... |

I wasn’t thinking of a pure solo Gandalf...Maybe the Black Rider Jarnsmid could go well, too. |
