3x Pathfinder
3x Pursuit Just Behind
Conditions:
4x Gondor Bowmen
3x Don’t Look at Them
2x Safe Passage
1x Hardy Garrison
1x Home and Hearth
Strategy:
You can afford to bid high (usually 3 or 4) in order to go first and grab dammed gate stream. use that to pull safe passage and then name whichever site type your site path consists of (I’m going to pair this with evil men archery so i’d say plains.)
The aim of the deck is to control the sitepath with the ranger of westernesse and pathfinder and then use an able guide and safe passage to remove all the twilight for the double ( last throw could be added in if you play alot of decks with extra moving abilities)
You should kill off their minions using aragorn’s bow, ranger’s longbow, gondor bowmen, smeagol, always helps and don’t look at them (which then triggers hardy garrison). then use pursuit just behind to clear up minions in the regroup.
If your threats get full (which they will) then kill off one of the ranger of westernesse (who are relatively useless after getting a site for you) and absorb the threats on pippin, wearer of black and silver (the return him to hand to heal them)
the ithilien blade are in there for early site surviving and to mean aragorn and faramir aren’t completley hopeless if something survives your wounding (at least big enough to survive a turn or two of bad luck.)
Home and Hearth removes your burdens when you replay pippin, wearer of black and silver allowing you to bid high
It is a surprsingly solid fellowship and good fun to play, it also cycles like crazy, so it’s good paired with a swarm deck.
I’ve found it’s best paired with a stopping shadow (such as captain crunch or forestguls) or something that gets triggers off the sitepath. |

Why is it called ranger choke if you have 8 or 9 companions? |
