Hmm...do you suppose they’re planning to introduce an artifact Glamdring, since this set is supposed to be artifact-heavy? |

Indeed, but so is Wizard Staff. And that has artifact versions of it. |

One thing is Wizard Staff, and another Gandalf Staff.
You can have them boath in play in same time, one on Gandalf one on Radagast.
Also you can have Glamdring on Gandalf and new Shadowfax on Radagast. |

Aha! Pandemonium! I knew there was a reason to stack minions on possessions! This makes some cards supremely sweet, now! Especially because there’s so few possession-discarding cards out there. It’s like , but you can’t discard the stacked minions!
Rider’s Gear...well, first of all, that’s Black Land Runner in a close-up. That’s also a very powerful card...
White Hand Aggressor...nasty stuff!! Although he reminds me more of one of the old-school baddies. |

That Anduril sucks.
Yes, it sucks.
It’s overly conditional, even more so than the first two. And I do include King’s Blade in that as it was entirely a waste in the first place in anything but a deck that continually cleaned house on threats (read "none"). Either a site must be controlled, or your opponent must have a condition on one of your companions for it to go off. Even the Pathfinding ability of the Flame could get something done for you every time you needed to move to 3 or 6. The only real benefit of the card is the fact that it can be played with any other weapon that Aragorn might choose to carry with him (insert Knife of the Galadrhim for clearing off a fierce minion before it gets it’s comeback), and of course the Bow.
The Bow is bothersome in it’s own light. For a tool that got all of two arrows nocked in it over the whole of the film trilogy (which is the only excuse for it’s existance in the game), and for a weapon that never existed in the books period, it sure as hell gets all the spotlight time. Instead of doing interesting discard or wounding mechanics (or even better, an exert to twilight removal aspect befitting of it’s stature and light), we get an overly expensive addendum to the Bow.
When I think of what Anduril should be, I think of something that should be broken-grade powerful. Behind the One Ring, it was the defining object of the War of the Ring. And yet, we have a Flame of the West gets that gets shown up by a cheap, common, Ithilien Blade. For two twilight (Blade and Cloak) you are guaranteed to do a whole lot more than this at 3 cost. That’s just plain stupid. Anduril nets you Damage +1 and Artifact defensability for that extra twilight, but in this case I’m not so sure that coverage is useful for what you get.

lol. i totally agree.
gorn does not need the extra vitality, especially with ranger’s cloak. ithilien blade, or even gondorian blade are much better choices. we all know the potency of ithilien blade, and gondorian blade does almost all that the new anduril does while costing a fraction of the twilight. |
