Because I feel like it.

•Merry, Bearer of Intuition
Companion • Hobbit
Strength-3
Vitality-4
Ringed Resistance-8
While Merry is the Ring-bearer, each time you play a

event during a skirmish involving your Hobbit, that Hobbit may not be overwhelmed unless his or her strength is tripled.
Looks pretty good to me. Not too good or too bad and could make a nice alternative to Frodo, Sam and Bilbo.

•Pippin, Bearer of Stolen Crops
Companion • Hobbit
Strength-3
Vitality-4
Ringed Resistance-9
While Pippin is the Ring-bearer, at the start of each fellowship phase, you may discard a possession from hand to heal a companion.
I really can’t see anyone using this. How many posessions is a Shire deck going to have.

•Aragorn, Bearer of the Hope of Men
Companion • Man
Strength-8
Vitality-4
Ringed Resistance-7
While Aragorn is the Ring-bearer, at the start of each of your turns, you may add 2 burdens to make other Men strength +1 and resistance +1 until the regroup phase.
What is the point in adding 2 burdens to increase resistance by 1? You might as well just add 1 burden.

•Legolas, Bearer of Agility
Companion • Elf
Strength-6
Vitality-3
Ringed Resistance-5
Archer.
While Legolas is the Ring-bearer, each time a minion takes a wound during the archery phase, add a burden.
Each time Legolas wins a skirmish, you may draw a card.
You need to give him a way of increasing his resistance. At the moment he would get corrupted way too easily, especially as first ability ruins legolas greatest strength his archery. Try making him four to start and then +1 for each archer comp you can spot. And if it were me I would change the first ability.
That’s the last of the fellowship. Now for some others that make decent-enough since as ARBs. I went ahead and added a few notes after each of these to help describe why I chose them as Ring-bearers.

•Arwen, Bearer of the Evenstar
Companion • Elf
Strength-6
Vitality-3
Ringed Resistance-6
While bearing an artifact, Arwen is resistance +2.
While Arwen is the Ring-bearer, each time she wins a skirmish, you may exert her twice to play the fellowship’s next site.
I like it pretty cool.
How Arwen got the Ring:
1) Frodo died at the Ford, and she felt so guilty for his death that she took it
2) She was summoned to the Council, and volunteered there

•Denethor, Bearer of a Great Weapon
Companion • Man
Strength-8
Vitality-3
Ringed Resistance-4
While Denethor is the Ring-bearer, other

companions are strength +1 and resistance -1.
At the start of the regroup phase, discard 2

cards from hand or add a burden.
Like Legolas he really needs some way to increase his resistance. He would get corrupted way too easily
How Denethor got the Ring:
1) Faramir took Frodo to him
2) Boromir brought it back to Gondor, and actually gave it to him

•Deagol, Bearer of Long Years
Companion
Strength-3
Vitality-4
Ringed Resistance-5
While you cannot spot Smeagol or Gollum, Deagol is resistance +2.
At the start of each fellowship phase, if Deagol is the Ring-bearer, you may place a

card from your discard pile on top of your draw deck.
Seems fine to me
How Deagol got the Ring:
1) Well, obviously, Smeagol failed to take it from him

•Elrond, Bearer of Ages
Companion • Elf
Strength-8
Vitality-4
Ringed Resistance-7
While Elrond is the Ring-bearer, each time he is assigned to a skirmish, spot 4

tokens or add 2 burdens.
Very cool. I would love to use this ringbearer in my Defender of Freeps deck.
How Elrond got the Ring:
1) He was forced to kill Isildur at Mount Doom, but he himself could not destroy the Ring
2) Frodo died at the Ford, and no one else volunteered to take the Ring
Any more?
