I was looking through some cardlists, and I realized just how many Ents that cost less while you can spot other ents (11 or 12 by final count). So (I thought to myself) why not make a deck with a 9-companion starting fellowship? I don’t have time to finish the deck, but here are my first thoughts on the starting fellowship:
Frodo (not sure which)
Ent Horde
Host Of Fangorn
Skinbark, Fladrif
Leaflock, Finglas
Quickbeam, Hastiest of all Ents
Merry, in the Bloom of Health
Pippin, in the Bloom of Health
Huorn (x2)
That’s the bulk of the deck. I’ll also have Treebeard, Guardian of the Forest in the deck (discard Quickbeam to play him). More coming when I have time. |

This fellowship doesn’t work. Only skinbark has twilight reduction for hobits and ents. And you can’t start him, ’cause he’s three twilight. This fellowship works, however.
Merry, In The Bloom of Health
Pippin, In The Bloom of Health
Farmer Maggot, Hobbit of the Marish
Quickbeam, Bregalad
Skinbark, Fladrif
Host of Fangorn
Ent Horde
Oh, and Treebeard, GotF is not as good as Treebeard, Enraged Shepherd. |

I didn’t realize you’d already created a deck with basically the same premise.
Nice article, btw. |
