You break the rule of five?
Shame on you
Greed would kill that deck. And even if it didn’t, the threats from the IB strategy would. (I assume that with that fellowship, you run IB)

Very few people use Greed, even in Expanded play.
All cards do what they say.

Hold on....Something seems definitely wrong here. If I’m right here’s how the starting fellowship would go:

The Comprehensive says starting companions are placed on the table one at a time. You place down merry, Pippin, Maggot, and quickbeam on at a time and that itself takes up four twilight! After that, there is no possible way of playing skinbark without the total twilight being more than four, much less playing Ent horde afterwards.
My Trading List
Popcorn is not gooey like fat, and also not crunchy like potato chips, but crispy like lettuce which makes it a healthy snack. Popcorn

how do you get Madril, Defender of Osgiliath ’s benefit in the starting fellowship?

Quickbeam is free. He spots 3 Hobbits and 2 Ents.

If he spots 2 rangers, his twilight cost is -2.

But, still, the Comprehensive says starting companions are placed on the table one at a time.

So, here is the order:

Pippin, for twilight 1
Merry for twilight 1
Farmer Maggot for Twilight 1
Quickbeam for 1 (spotting 3 unbound hobbits)

That is 4 twilight already! there is no other possible way to get another ent out without violating this rule. Please consult the Rulebook, to see if I’m right.

But quickbeam also spots 2 ents, since merry and pippin each add 1 to the number of ents you can spot.

He also spots 2 Ents, thanks to Merry and Pippin’s gametext, so Quickbeam is free.
