This card was spoiled almost six weeks ago, but didn’t appear on the official cardlist and therefore got neglected when I set up the individual spoiler threads. For thoroughness’ sake, here it is now:

This is one of those weird cards that somehow gets every type of response from "waste of cardboard" to "must get four of these!" Laughing

My own feeling is pretty close to the first, because I think the drawback will hurt much more than the benefit helps. Far better to play possessions, skirmish events, or really anything else that doesn’t involve shooting yourself in the foot.

The only deck that this would seem to work in would maybe be a Troll deck. Even then though, I’m not sure. The cost is very high for so small a benefit.

I think this is a card that would go well with Orc

trolls and such were an extra

isn’t too bad.
This card is something that will not work very well with swarms. (obviously)

The only thing I don’t understand is why the first line says
"To play, spot no minions"
I guess this forces you to play it before you play in minions with the extra

.
Still it is kinda of odd wording.

This card would be more useful if there were more hunter Orcs. Think

weird....

It will definitely get into beatdown decks and stay out of swarms....it all depends on your strategy.

Oh, and you can still play it with minions in play, you can choose not to spot minion, another sloppy mistake.

That may very well be true, but the intent is obvious. The practical result of poor wording isn’t "you can play it that way," it’s "Decipher will have to print a clarification." Wink

Big D needs more (or better) playtesters.

My thoughts echo what many have already said.

This would work much better in another culture like Wraith

it just doesn’t have the same appeal.

Maybe something will come along down the road that suddenly turns on that light for us and makes us see it in a new light, but until then, it’s very meh. It gets a 2 from me.

Big D needs some of us. Seems like we catch thier mistakes more often than they do.

This card is only halfway worth it with 3-4 copies, otherwise the strength - on companions won’t matter all that much, I’m sure... and by then the downside would be much more than the benefit.

This card wouldn’t even work with trolls... every troll that isn’t "to play spot an Orc

minion costs at least 10, or at least I think so... If you’re going to make your troll cost 14, might as well just use Sauron.
