To play add a burden unless a Gollum companion is your Ring Bearer.
While Deagol is the Ring-bearer, Shadow cards may spot him as unbound.
Response: If a shadow players plays an event or a condition, exert Deagol to discard that event or condition. The shadow player may exert a minion or remove 2 to prevent this

I would change his text to "Discard Deagol to discard a condition."

For what it’s worth, I respectfully disagree. I like the feel his ability has as it’s already written. It’s easy for the Shadow player to get around it, so it’s certainly not overpowered.

Up to you of course, DK.

I like FP cards that don’t leave the Shadow player any way out. Razz
I had to put something here.

If you can do it right, then generally so do I. But sometimes you need to have abilities like this in order to have the potential for a nice payoff for the FP player. They’re cool and fun without being overpowered.

I like giving the opponent some tough choices. "Do I let him do that to me or do I do this to myself instead? Hrm."

The only thing with your change Anonymous is what happens when Deagol is the ring bearer? Suddenly he becomes basically useless.

There needs to be someone for the shadow to prevent it, but at a price. Games are won and lost on moves like that. It adds a hint of skill to playing a deck, and allows a quick push-over on newbies. Twisted Evil

I made a slight change to Deagol’s text, tell me what you think now.
