| Why is this Gandalf so good I mean any shadow player can just place 3 cards from their hand on top of their drawdeck to prevent his ability? |

He is great for many reasons.
 
 
1: The Shadow player may not have enough cards in his hand to prevent it.
 
2: He can place cards on top of your deck, which is awesome in a telepathy deck (using cards like Forearmed).
 
3: He can make you lose initiative, triggering cards like Glimpse of Fate, A Light in His Mind, Brooding on Tomorrow, and other cards. |
