4 Strove With Him Gondor
Event • Maneuver
Exert Aragorn and reveal your hand to reveal your opponents hand. Discard X Shadow cards from play, where X is the number of Shadow cards in your hand minus the number of shadow cards in your opponent’s hand. You may discard any number of cards from your hand.

I would say it is pretty good as it is. but revealing an opponents hand can be pretty powerful regardless. Make it shadow cards in play IMO.

Interesting...

As I play multiplayer mostly, however, there are a few comments. One, ’reveal your hand to choose an opponent who reveals his hand’ or ’reveal your hand to reveal an opponent’s hand’. I think it that opponent discards his shadow cards, then it works really well.

Of course, this would work really well for me in a Last Alliance deck (we allow mostly any card) with Cast It Into the Fire - We play 4-player. Get 3 Strove With Him and 4 Cast It Into the Fire
Knock each player down to a maximum of 4 cards... get 12 cards. Potentially ’exhaust Aragorn and add [16] to discard 60 Shadow cards (each discards 20)’
Honestly, though, it would be very unlikely and not a great hand. Although, I could get rid of any of the 20 cards I don’t want and reconcile after the turn.
I think it would be a very effective use of the card, rather than a broken combo.

At the cost of 4 twilight and having to exhaust a specific companion, it’s a close effect. As a fellowship event (as an example), it may actually be underpowered. As regroup... I think it may be overpowered - the twilight cost can be virtually ignored - almost always play it at a sanctuary to ignore the exertion cost, so the only bad thing is the reveal of your hand, and you can discard it entirely if you want. And by the time the regroup phase comes around, the Shadow player you choose would have used up Skirmish events and probably some regroup events that would be cancelling out your Shadow cards, which would be virtually untouched.
So, Maneuver may be best for it, with choosing a shadow player to discard X of their cards from play (which can, of course leave out ’Shadow cards’ - as a Shadow player, their non-Shadow cards can’t be touched.)

Not sure I know what you mean, but I think you’re saying let the shadow player decide which cards to discard. Right?

And with some card drawing and cycling, it could be easy to force the opponent to dicard 8-10 cards.

In short, yes. Razz

I’d also make the first line: "Exert Aragorn and reveal your hand to reveal an opponent’s hand." Just for ease in multiplayer games.

I was just saying that if you want to make it a fellowship event, make it a bit stronger. If you want it as a regroup event, weaken it.

Toughie

2 •Where Once Was Light Gollum
Condition • Support Area
To play, discard a Gollum minion.
At the start of the Free Peoples player’s turn, you may make the move limit +1
Regroup: Exert Gollum twice and discard each minion to make the Free Peoples player choose to move again (if the move limit allows)
And you will weep/When you face the end alone/You are lost/You can never go home.

Well...perfect card for NG, if Gollum only gets off with one wound, you can force the FP to move past a sanctuary. Tougher to pull off than Forced march, but hey, with NG, moving them past a sanctuary could be crucial.

SoP, I’m not that familiar with song lyrics...and stuff like that...maybe go with something else? Especially since I don’t want to be killed...
