I’ve never played this game, and haven’t been involved in Warcraft since the old PC games.
So, just to get a bit comfortable with the rules, I’ll be making DCs from LotR themes.
(Fellowship) Aragorn (Rogue)
Hero - Dunedain Rogue
Stealth
Ranger, Pathfinder
-> Take target stealth ability from your graveyard into hand.
Health: 25
Oooh. That wasn’t that bad! Here are some cards for him:
Anduril of the West
(Warrior)
Weapon - Sword (Melee 1)
Your hero must be Aragorn.
(4),
Basically, this can only go on Aragorn. It hits for quite a bit, and cheeply too (only per swing).
A more Ranger-esque card:
No Wrong Cuts (Rogue)
Instant Ability - Stealth
Put target ability you played that just resolved back into your hand.
Recursion!
Hmm... I’ll do a Frodo later. |
Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

Okay, here’s some stuff for Frodo.
(Fellowship) Frodo (Rogue)
Hero - Hobbit Rogue
Stealth
Adventurer, Leader
, Flip Frodo, deal 2 damage to 1 of your allies -> Prevent all damage that would be dealt to Frodo this turn.
Health: 30
Mithril-coat
(Rogue)
Armor - Mail (Chest 1)
, Your Hobbit hero must be about to take damage -> Prevent that damage.
DEF: 3
The One Ring
(Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior)
Item (Ring 1)
Your hero is ATK +3 and DEF +3, and each time your hero makes an attack or defends an attack, wound it 3 times.
Neat stuff. |

I’m also brand-new to WoW TCG, but here are a few superficial comments:
Shieldelf -- remember that "rouge" is a French color. You want "rogue."
Rogues in the World of Warcraft are like stealthy assassins; Hunter seems like a better class for Legolas to me (since he’s an archer).
menace64 -- no "wounds" in WoW TCG, only damage!
All -- Heroes typically have one attribute that suggests their specialty when it comes to fighting, for example "Fire" on Ta’zo, or "Protection" on Warrax. Then they have two "professions," which are more mundane -- things that the hero learned how to do in day-to-day life,
For example, Gimli’s most likely professions would be mining and blacksmithing. (Just like fellow Dwarf Warrax! The conception of Dwarves seems pretty similar in World of Warcraft as in The Lord of the Rings.)
For Legolas, I don’t know... Rope-making? Storytelling? Fletching? (Those arrows have to come from somewhere...)
That’s tough, but interesting to think about. |
