Budget deck for Ents and Moria
--- end description ---

Well....I have another friend who wants to build a Gandalf deck around his Radagast on a budget. He has a copy of Radagast already, so here’s my attempt.

Ring-Bearer: (2)
Frodo (any copy, preferrably Resolute Hobbit)
The One Ring, The Ruling Ring ($0.10)

Starting Fellowship: (7)
Merry, In the Bloom of Health ($0.25)
Pippin, In the Bloom of Health ($0.25)
Farmer Maggot, Hobbit of the Marish ($0.25)
Quickbeam, Bregalad ($0.10)
Skinbark, Fladrif ($1.50)
Host of Fangorn ($0.25)
Ent Horde ($1)

Other Companions: (16)
Woodland Onod ($0.25)
Leaflock, Finglas ($2)
Radagast, The Brown ($3.50 slightly played)
Gandalf, Leader of the Company ($1.50)
12 random companions, preferrably copies of aforementioned companions. (For emergency healing)

Conditions: (4)
Ent Moot x 4 ($0.40)

Events: (11)
Warmed up a bit x 3 ($0.30)
Momentous Gathering x 4 ($3)
Inspiration x 4 ($0.40)

Total: $15.05. Has Radagast already, so about $12)

This deck should thin out pretty well, meaning no problems with hand clog. It starts with a 67 card deck which is not all that big, and then with Momentous Gathering thinning out the deck, it should work pretty well. By the time all the hobbits get discarded, you should have in your fellowship...

Frodo
Quickbeam
Skinbark
Host of Fangorn
Ent Horde
Woodland Onod
Leaflock
Radagast
Gandalf

For an easy run.

Shadow:

Minions (32)
Ulaire Nertea, Messenger of Dol Guldur x 2 ($0.50)
Goblin Runner x 4 ($1.20)
Goblin Backstabber x 4 ($0.40)
Goblin Scrabbler x 4 ($0.40)
Moria Scout x 4 ($0.40)
Goblin Sneak x 4 ($1)
Goblin Scavengers x 4 ($0.40)
Goblin Wallcrawler x 2 ($0.20)
Host of Thousands x 4 ($0.40) (Yes, it is a minion. The best minion in the deck.)

Possessions (4)
Goblin Scimitar x 4 ($0.40)

Conditions (2)
Goblin Swarms x 2 ($4)

Total: $9.30

Cheap killer swarm. And it is killer. No Goblin Armory, but hey! The minions are so cheap you shouldn’t need it. And it cycles very well, Ents filter for a huge shadowkill.

Total cost of deck: $24.35

Any suggestions? I need it as cheap as possible.

Popcorn Add the popcorn smiley to your sig, help it achieve world domination.
What if the hokey pokey really IS what its all about? Shocked
As I lay in bed staring at the stars last night, I thought to myself, "where the heck is the ceiling?"

Looks pretty good. Make sure you have 4 copies of Gandalf though, so that your hand isn’t clogged with Inspiration.

4x Momentous Gathering Smile Not to mention it shuffles your draw deck for use with Goblin Sneak.
Thanks for the move.
