All right, I’m not going to be posting the next RP post until Sunday, but I will be reviewing the DCs submitted, both today and tomorrow. So keep watch! (I’m doing them in the order I received them, BTW)

Bearer must be an elf. Bearer is damage +1.
Skirmish: If you have initiative, discard two cards from hand to exert a minion skirmishing bearer.
"A bit heavier than I expected. Are you sure it won’t slow you down?"
I have to say, I’m very impressed with this card. A nice +1 is good for a sword, and I really like the ability, especially because elves seem to revel in the idea of causing skirmish wounds. The only part I don’t like is the damage bonus, because elves don’t really do damage bonuses...and it makes the card very powerful for only and a non-unique weapon. So that’ll probably end up changing. That, and maybe the strength will get upped to +2. Nice card, though.

Bearer must be a man.
While bearer is skirmishing a wounded minion, he or she is damage +1.
The weapons of the Rohirrim were richly made.
Nice. I love this weapon! The d+1 bonus is reminiscient of Rohirrim Axe, and the wounded minion ability fits nicely with strengths, like exerting minions and limited archery. Nice, balanced card.

Resistance: +1
Bearer must be a ranger.
Skirmish: Exert bearer to make each minion skirmishing bearer lose hunter and unable to gain hunter until the regroup phase.
Thus had Duinihir’s blade been forged, in Ranger fashion, but of Elven craftsmanship.
A very nice card, and good implementation of the ranger theme. The resistance bonus is a little unusual, but since the sword costs , I can live with that. And the ability is a nice tie-in with rangers.

Bearer must be an elf. Each non-unique minion skirmishing bearer is strength -1. If bearer is Tuilin, each minion skirmishing him cannot use skirmish special abilities.
Okay, this card idea is a really cool one...the only real problem I have with it is the last bit of gametext. This is a non-unique weapon, so it really shouldn’t deal too heavily with specific characters. That’s for special, unique weapons. (BTW, there will be opportunity to get unique weapons during this Adventure) Other than that, cool card idea.

Bearer must be a Hobbit.
While you can spot a follower, each unbound companion is resistance +1.
Used to defend the Shire, the swords of the shiriffs were recognized on sight.
Okay, the first thing I’d like to say: very cool card! It pretty much ties in most of what we recognize in : followers, resistance, and a nice little strength boost. With G for Grand or Sworn Companion, this card becomes very nice indeed. Well done, BattleWarg! (Nice job of balance, as well. Lower strength, but a good ability) |

I haven’t heard from macheteman yet if it’s okay with him, but with him leaving, can I take over his character? |

I think that would work...since you two do have a storyline worked up around that. You’ll probably end up doing the work of two, then... |

That’s okay. My work on Dwarves and Men in my set Lasting Alliances should help me out, and like you said, we did cook up a little backstory via PMs. Shouldn’t be TOO hard. I look forward to it, actually.
Thanks! |

The toned-down weapons will come after I finish all reviewing. And possibly with the RP post on Sunday. You should be able to get a good idea of your finished weapon by the comments I’ve made about the DC. |

Don’t worry, I think it’s a cool idea. |
