Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Well, his last post was: Sat Mar 31, 2007 7:16 pm and he’s only posted in this thread once...

But I would suggest making sure to have a definite deadline after this round.

Okay, I’ll give him 3 days to submit his DC in.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

All right! Here is the Matchups for round #1:

Matchup 1.

Nbarden’s Card:

2 Gondorian Blacksmith Gondor
Follower
Aid- 2
Each time you transfer this follower to a companion, you may add 2 to reinforce a Gondor token.
While bearer is bearing a Gondor hand weapon, bearer is strength +1 and damage +1.
Skirmish: Discard this follower and remove a Gondor token to play a Gondor hand weapon on bearer from your discard pile.
Elf Lvr’s Card:

2 *Gondorian Blacksmith Gondor
Follower
Aid - Add 2 threats.
When you transfer Gondorian Blacksmith to a companion, you may exert that companion to play a Gondor possession on them from your deck.
Response: If a possession is about to be discarded by a shadow player, you may transfer Gondorian Blacksmith to your support area to prevent that.
The smiths of Gondor were particularly skilled in the forging of swords, among other things.
Matchup 2.
Anonymous Prodigy automatically advances because Mouth of Saruman didn’t submit his card in time.

Matchup 3.
SickofPalantirs’s Card:

1 Gondorian Blacksmith Gondor
Follower
Strength +1
Aid -2
Each time you transfer this to a companion (except a gondor companion) exert bearer. If bearer bears a hand weapon, each time bearer wins a skirmish you may wound a minion assigned to skirmish an unbound companion.

editors note yeah i know the wording of that ability is messed up but don’t know how else to put i
Aragorn, King in Exile’s Card

1 * Gondorian Blacksmith, Skilled Craftsman Gondor
Follower
Aid-2.(At the start of the maneuver phase, you may add 2 to transfer this to a companion.)
Each time you transfer this to a companion you may exert a Gondor Man to play a Gondor possession on him from your draw deck.
Gondor blacksmiths were some of the finest in the land.

Matchup 4.
Thonnas7’s Card:

Alright...

NBarden, yours seems to have a lot going on. Each ability makes sense, but having all three might be a bit much. I do like how they combine, though.
elf lvr, I like the limited splashing available (with Shire for Pippin’s Sword and Pippin’s Armor, Rohan for Coat of Mail and Armor, etc). It could probably do with adding a little to clarify the Response ability so that it says that it has to be on a companion, because people will wonder about transfering it from the support area to the support area (which would make this way too powerful, even if it is unique).

sop, it is worded a little oddly, and I’m not really sure how it fits, especcially if it’s on Ring-bound companions... It does seem balanced, though.
Akie, I do like the reminder text (Smile)... It is a very odd effect though. You can add 2 and exert Boromir to transfer Gondorian Blacksmith to Frodo and play Sword of Gondor (or Horn of Boromir, Shield of Boromir, etc) from your deck. It is somewhat limited, in the number of times it can be transferred per game, but I’m not sure. If there gets to be a way to transfer followers beside their Aid at the start of the maneuver phase (especcially if it is repeatable in a turn), this would be too powerful. As it is, this, Denethor and a decent Saved From the Fire (possibly with Falls of Rauros) would make for a quick Gondor removal from your deck...

I’m going to go with:

EL and SoP
Our time here is ending...

What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome Smile).
