I’ll just be healing companions in the order of vitality, so exhausted ones get healed first. In fact, I’ll up it to 8 wounds, in honor of Shelob.
Quote: Also, why does Rorin have 2 wounds? He only took one....
I have him down for an exertion, and BW says he ended up being wounded...
That explains it. The wound was being counted twice (The description at the end was the end result, I believe all the wounds were caused by exertions this time).
Akie, I assume Ellar’s a Man and his sword is a Hand Weapon (and Strong Friendship is in the support area)? I also note that Strong Friendship is for / and / combos, but not / (Ryle/Ellar) |

What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome ). |

Good call, BW, I’ll change it to support area.
Yes, Strong Friendship targets Rorin and Curubethion because in the story, Ellar has already built up bonds with these characters. Plus, it doesn’t target specific cultures, it targets two unique characters. I kinda designed it to be like A Promise. If this is a problem, I can change it. I was just thinking the condition should reflect what happend in the story. Thanks for your advice. GP! |

Nope, no problem, just a note in case you mixed them up (as both are Dain) |

As Ectheow heard the Ranger’s instructions, his mind began to wander. So twisted things were running loose. Things worse than ugly dogs and the restless spirits. Maybe he had been too quick to come. It didn’t sound like there would be much treasure involved. Still, he was in it for the long haul, and there might be adventure, if not pay.
As he sorted through his pack, setting his axe aside, he came across a parchment. His orders of exile. Blast Hama anyways, he though viciously. Hygleac had known better, had figured out what Grima was doing long ago. But Hama had blindly followed the King and had the loyal guardsmen all thrown out. Fine. He didn’t need Hama or the king. But they would be sorry for this in the end. Theodred would not be able to hold the fords for long against the Dark Lord’s armies.
He shoved the papers back into his pack, and pulled out a small harp. He felt restless. A dismal song would do him good.
He began plucking at the harp quietly off to one side away from the rest of the company and began to chant softly of the fall of Eorl.

Each time your companion wins a skirmish, you may place a token here.
Fellowship: Remove 3 tokens here to heal a companion or remove a burden.
Regroup: Spot 6 tokens here and discard this condition to discard a shadow condition from a companion.
"Hé raerede his cnapa / Ðæt hé his déað geséo."
He didn’t even notice when some of the company stopped to stare at him. Some listening to the chants, others in surprise that the gruff and incongenial Rohirrim vagabond was attempting to sing and play a harp.
When he finished his chant, he thrust the instrument back into his pack.
"What are you staring at?" he asked Curubethion, who stood watching.
"Its not often one hears the Saga of Eorl sung in Old Rohirric, here in the North," Curubethion replied. "You sing of glory well."
"Hygleac, the Minstrel of Theoden King taught me. I thank you, Master Ceru... Caru... Cooru... Master Ranger," Ectheow finished gruffly, and stood. "I was once his student, learning the Lore of our people. Until Hama banished those who held loyal to the King. Eomer, his Sister-Son, yet remains, but Rohan, I fear, will fall. So instead I came here. At least here I can fight my enemies. And get gold in the process."
Ectheow turned away and walked to the skirts of the woods surround ing the camp. Blast Hama... |
Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

Dirthon sat down on a log and began to warm his hands by the fire. Curubethion was bandaging the wounds of Ryle and Rorin, who had sustained the greatest injuries. Dirthon stood up and approached the master ranger.
"Whence does our road lead from here?" he asked as Curubethion finished applying bandages to Ryle. A shadow passed over Curubethion’s face.
"We will... will... see what lies ahead," said Curubethion hesitantly.
Although not comforted by Curubethion’s words, Dirthon was glad that no one had been seriously injured. Turning back to the fire, he grimaced. His shoulder flared in pain from where the Warg had caught him off his guard in the forest.
Gradually, the pain in his shoulder lessened. The other companions were ambling about the clearing, glad of food and drink and warmth. Dirthon approached the others huddled around the fire. Taking a plate of roast mutton, Dirthon put his mind at ease. Thinking of the fair lands of his home, his mind wandered to when he was a child. Dirthon finished his plate of mutton and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Yeah, looks like that to me, too.
EDIT: Come to think of it, I think Ryle only has 3 (not four) wounds also.... |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

After eating, Celebthir wandered somewhat away from the party into the surrounding woodlands. Being immortal, he did not need sleep, but instead rested his mind thinking about Mirkwood. Ah... Mirkwood... his home. How he missed it. Life was very different out here in Arnor. Yet, in some ways, it was the same. The servants of Sauron still prowled around, needing to be destroyed. Courage and skill were still the best weapons to keep your life.
With new strength coursing through him, Celebthir whirled around and shot a leaf he had noticed off a tree behind him without harming it. Retrieving the arrow, Celebthir began walking back to the others.

Well, that actually makes sense. (Ryle exerted twice at site 2 and once at site 3?) If CG added the exertion to my end of turn description, each person who exerted (those three) would have an extra wound.
So sounds like a minor mistake... |
