Tuilin watched the rider sing and play the harp. A small smile cracked his face. “Who would have thought that one who a few hours earlier was fighting for his life, would turn around and sing?” Shaking his head slowly he turned around and wandered off about 50 feet from the party. There he found a little moss-covered depression in the earth, with a log on one side. Putting his back to the log he took off his bow and unsheathed his sword. Laying them at his side he half-closed his eyes and descended into a deep calm.

Elves could renew much of their strength without sleep.
There was no one to stare at the serenity of this elf, almost blending in with the forest landscape, but a few squirrels and rabbits. So Tuilin rested, renewing his strength from the previous battles.
note this works with all the elves...don’t know if that is bad but...
I then remove the 2 tokens to heal Tuilin. |

Well, we’ve already got one that does similar, but with rangers (boosting strength)
And I don’t think we’ve actually gotten to fellowship phase (or might have, not sure)... |
Our time here is ending...
What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome ). |

CG, we should probably start a discussion thread for this so we can just have the RPG stuff here. |

Like this?
Also, the response ability needs to be "Each time your elf..." rather than activated, otherwise we get any number of tokens for one wound, which means any amount of healing for you elves that we want. |

“...and then Belethorn jumps back and falls right into the lake, and it turns out it was only a fox!” Ryle finished. “‘Most ferocious Warg I’ve ever seen,’ I say to him, and he storms off, soaking wet, without a word.”
Rorin, Curubethion, and Ellar all laughed, Rorin nearly falling off the log, which only made the laughter worse. Ryle shook his head and joined them.
As it finally died down, Curubethion turned serious. “So the Ortans, Ryle...why no news of these foul creatures roaming your lands? Have you seen none of these mysteries around Lake Evendim?”
“There is a reason it is called the ‘Lake of Twilight’,”, the other replied grimly. “There are many strange things to be found in the lands surrounding Evendim, especially after the sun sets. Wisps and spirits of all sorts are said to roam the ruins of Annúminas, and the Emyn Uial has long been infested with wolves...and worse. Some of the foulest creatures of all of Middle-Earth roam our lands, and have for centuries.” Ryle leaned forward for emphasis. “We are likely to encounter far worse dangers along our journey. For if anything, Curubethion, our lands have become less perilous in recent months. The Wargs and spirits have lessened, and rumors abound that they are heading northward...as we are now.”
Curubethion nodded.
“So if this is true, Ranger,” cut in Rorin, mild suspicion and doubt creeping into his voice, “then why are we headed directly for this rabble without proper information?”
“Because I have no more to offer you,” Curubethion said.
“No more to offer?” Rorin exclaimed, not bothering to hide his suspicion now. “I thought you rangers made it your duty to know everything that goes on in these parts, especially you, it would seem.”
“Be at ease, Rorin,” Ryle replied softly. “The Dúnedain know much, and have always been very open with the Ortans. But they are not all-knowing. The former kingdom of Arnor has long been unwatched by all but the rangers; all other eyes are those of the Enemy. There is much in this vast region that even the Dúnedain cannot see...at least not at all times.”
Rorin grunted, but backed down his aggressiveness. “Fair enough, lad. Fair enough. Do not misunderstand, Curoblethian,” he rushed through the name as quickly as he could, drawing a barely perceivable smile from the men around him, “I have nothing but respect the Dúnedain. I have just not had many...personal dealings until now. I do not doubt your intentions, or your sincerity.” Curubethion nodded gratefully. “I just like to know what I am walking into before I find myself in a dragon’s lair,” Rorin finished, with a common saying of Durin’s Folk.
“I understand entirely,” Curubethion replied. “I would not lead such fine warriors into the unknown if I did not fully trust to your skill. I would not endanger you, my good Dwarf, or anyone else in this mighty company,” he nodded to Ryle, “without being supremely confident that we can handle anything that may come across our path. Wargs and spirits of the worst kind can still be managed, as was proven a short time ago. However, I promise to you all,” he continued, looking all three in the eye in turn, “that I will not continue this quest if I feel it is too dangerous to go on. I will not willingly put your lives at grave risk.”
Rorin nodded, satisfied. “I appreciate that, Cerubathion,” he said, standing up. “But I will hold you to it,” he said, pausing a moment before giving the ranger a disarming smile.
“Come, lad,” he said, turning to Ryle. “Let us go rest by the fire and leave these two to tell their own tales.”
Ryle glanced at Curubethion and Ellar, then nodded and stood. “Thank you for the wrappings,” he said, patting his bandages. He and Rorin then sauntered over to the rest of the group, Ryle seeking out the Hobbit to see how he was faring after the battle.
Curubethion watched them go. “Tell me, Ellar,” he said to his old friend, “how did that Dwarf and that young man come to be so close?”
Ellar smiled. “Rorin son of Balir is a good friend to the men of Dale, though not all men seem to know that,” he added sadly. “As I imagine you know, Ryle’s mother is a direct descendant of Bard the Bowman.”
“I am aware,” Curubethion said. “He has Bard’s courage and valor. His father, however....”
“Ah, so you are aware of it,” Ellar continued. He paused, trying to word what followed delicately. “His father is a good man, but very distrustful of outsiders. He seeks to protect his family, I am sure, but the image he projects of himself is...less than popular.”
“He has married into a royal line, and he feels he must prove he belongs. He is the son of a blacksmith, and strives to completely eradicate his own heritage by making his own sons as ‘proper’ as possible,” Curubethion replied.
Ellar raised his eyebrows. “You know much about this boy,” he said, surprised.
Curubethion smiled. “Why do you think I chose him for this quest?”
“Indeed,” Ellar nodded. “The boy could not stand his father and struck out on his own. It is only since then that his father’s wishes have come true. Ryle has already proven himself an outstanding leader of men when given the chance. You would never know he was the leader of the Ortans just by looking at him, but that boy has potential even he cannot fully see.”
“Rorin, however, is a mystery to me,” Curubethion said. “I have heard some of the tales, but strangely, I have not heard the full story of how he saved Ryle from those goblins.”
Ellar smiled. “Ah. That is one of the more famous stories in the lands around Eerbor. When Ryle was only ten....”

Hope you all like my section and my cards. I also hope it’s okay I wrote so much for Curubethion and Ellar. I just got a little carried away. |

Legoles looked around and saw Rorin, Curubethion, Ellar, and Rorin all laughing over some story, he chuckled and thought "I will never understand mortals, the other elves lead more intruiging lives then the men and dwarves, but they are still amusing." he turned around and saw a tree about 25 yards away, "hmmm," he thought, he took out his bow and shot an arrow at the tree, then two more followed, he continued to practice archery untill sundown.

Awesome Dain! Well written. I enjoyed seeing how you portrayed Ellar and Curubethien. Wicked Conditions too! Especially with Ellar’s text!
Great job! GP!
EDIT: Cool condition as well, Legolas. Just one quick note though. You might wanna put a limit on how may tokens you can remove, otherwise it might get kinda outta hand with all the Archers we have in our fellowship. |
