Dunno guess D can choose to make a card do anything, this is definately the first of its kind. Interesting gameplay shame that its a stupid card. |

As far as I understand it, this card currently does nothing as the rules clearly state that followers cannot bear cards. In some ways, I hope that they don’t update that rule as, without cultural enforcement and with the ability to play it on saruman, servant of sauron and exert yet another guy, this card is just too good. Any deck that wants wounds should pack the follower saruman and some of these as together they’ll get quite a few. Also, there’s no limit, you could put 4 on your shadow follower and forget about the free peoples ones.
Has anyone else noticed that, after releasing a shadow follower only last set, they seem to be completely ignoring the fact that it exists in T&D?

No cultural enforcement. 0 cost. Non-unque. Exerts companions without paying any sort of cost. Breaks the rule of followers not being able to bear cards. I’ll give it a 5 for usefulness, but if I could give it a -5, I would. |

D is breaking all the rules
As pointed by Thranduil,on page 37 of The Hunters Starter Rulebook
"...Followers can’t bear other cards, including possessions or conditions."
Now, what we have to do?Follow the card text or Follow the Rulebook?
although
I’ll give it 5,’cause it’s quite useful in every wounding deck |

Cards always over-ride the rules.

Sorry, where the rules and cards conflict, cards over-ride the rules.
Alliance Reforged tells you to draw cards, but the amount is capped by the rule of 4.
This cards says a follower can bear it, where the rules say it can’t.
The card wins.
Heck, what do I know though. I haven’t played for 1 1/2 years.
It’s just that all this broken nonsense has piqued my interest
Cheers. |
