Each time Úlairë Enquëa wins a fierce skirmish, you may add a burden or 2 threats.

I would make it 1 threat instead of 2. Nifty minion!

While you can spot 3 burdens, Úlairë Nelya is fierce.
Each twilight Nazgûl skirmishing a companion bearing a condition is damage +1.
“Over the lip of the little dell, on the side away from the hill, they felt, rather than saw, a shadow rise, one shadow or more than one.”
I would make it spot 4 burdens; twilight Nazzies are just too darn good at adding burdens.

Lovely, excellent nazgul usage. Id add "or 2 burdens if you spot 6 companions", as enquea loves 6 comps!

Do you mean 4 conditions or 4 conditions? Why would you do the special ability? Surely they would transfer to a losing companion anyway?

With Otsëa, I meant any four conditions. However, I made a couple major changes to his other ability, and a couple changes to the other cards as well. How do they look now?
Thanks for the reviews, boys. |

Still not sure i see the point in transferring a condition if he wins the skirmish as surely the condition would say "transfer if a nazgul wins a skirmish" etc... So wouldnt it make it pointless.
The play from hand bit is ok but can you explain the above please i cant seem to grasp it.
Thanks Dain. |

Dain Ironfoot wrote: But I have a good reason! Say I, as the Shadow player, transfer this to the Ring-bearer. Obviously that’s the LAST place the FP player wants it, so if I leave out the Nazgul part, they could find a way to exert their RB and transfer it to a different companion. Slim chance, since it’s unlikely the RB AND that other companion will be in the same skirmish, but it IS possible thanks to a couple cards in my sets that allow multiple companions in the same skirmish. So I’d rather play it safe and avoid potential broken combos like Decipher is famous for now.
Fair enough, I take your point. Broken combos? When have they ever done that? (that was sarcastic, just in case you didn’t hear the tone of my voice).

I would take out the threats, otherwise it’s a bit cluttered. Also, now that Morgul blade can be borne by companions, I suggest changing all your references to conditions to cards.

Again, would consider changing it to cards. Similar to the original twilight nelya, and I like it.

My point again. But couldn’t you say instead: ’you may exert him to transfer a card/condition/whatever to an eligible companion he is skirmishing’? Don’t think he needs a hunter bonus, but there you go.
Great stuff!

More changes made. I’ve also gone back and tweaked older minions that deal with conditions borne by companions so that the new Morgul Blade works with them, too.
Thanks, everyone! |

Okay, here’s some of the those conditions I’ve been hinting at that play on companions. And they’re quite evil, if I may say so myself...but there’s more to follow, and it only gets worse. Enjoy!
Cold Lifelessness
Condition • Support Area
Strength -1
Limit 2 per bearer.
Response: If a Nazgûl wins a skirmish, transfer this condition from your support area to a character that lost that skirmish.
Each time the fellowship moves, the Free Peoples player must exert bearer or add .
“He wondered if he would remain maimed for life, and how they would now manage to continue their journey. He felt too weak to stand.”
Icy Claws
Condition • Support Area
Strength -1
Vitality -1
Resistance -1
Limit 1 per bearer.
Skirmish: Discard a weapon borne by a Nazgûl (or remove if that Nazgûl bears a Morgul Blade) to transfer this condition from your support area to a character skirmishing that Nazgûl.
“‘Frodo has been touched by the weapons of the Enemy, and there is some poison or evil at work that is beyond my skill to drive out.’”
I also considered Sick and Wounded as a title for this one, which is right from the text (as is the current title). What do you think? |
