It’s based on the ELO system that chess tournaments use. Basically, if you beat a player who’s close to or lower than your rank, you get a few points. If you beat a player who has a much higher rank than you, then you gain a lot more points. And vice versa if you lose.
Basically, the difference in rank between the winner and the loser is what determines how many points you earn or lose. |
