(35 cards)
Frodo, Hope of Free Peoples
The One Ring, The RIng of Doom
Merry, Rohirrim Squire
Pippin, Sworn to Service
Sam, Great elf Warrior
Aragorn, Driven by Need x 3
Westfarthing Businessman x 4
Daddy Twofoot, Next-Door Neighbor x 3
So Fair, So Desperate x 4
Unheeded x 2
Sudden Fury x 4
Tom Bombadil’s Hat
Hobbit Sword x 4
Sting, Weapon of Heritage
Aragorn’s Bow, Ranger’s Longbow
Anduril, Sword that Was Broken
Shadowplay x 4
MUAHAHAHA! Killer hobbits! LOOK OUT! MUAHAHAHA!
Set up your hobbits, get out your Daddy Twofoot, and abuse So Fair, So Desperate. That is, after you abuse Shadowplay, Unheeded, and Aragorn’s Bow, Ranger’s Longbow. Then, everything that survives that, abuse So Fair, So Desperate. And yeah, use a base 13 Sam w/ Sting for burden removal.
Have fun. And try to let your opponent win occasionally!
(Guess what? I think this deck is standard legal! Wow!) |

I still wander if you can use Arrow slits as a deck backbone? |

for the effort, NB. Arrow Slits seems an easier card to make the backbone of the deck for than some other cards. I can see NB turning out a / deck with Arrow Slits. |

I know Aragorn, Driven By Need was chiefly designed to work with Wraiths, but I’ve always thought he combos best with Merry, Rohirrim Squire and Pippin, Sworn to Service. Good call there, NB. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |
