Exert a Dragon twice (or heal a Dragon twice if that dragon is enduring) to exert a companion he is skirmishing once for each threat you can spot (limit 3). At the end of that skirmish, discard that Dragon.
In his rage Glaurung turned and struck down Azaghâl, Lord of Belegost, and crawled over him...

Seems a little harsh to have to discard it, so perhaps lower the cost to 1 or even 0.

To play, spot a Dragon. Bearer must be an unbound companion.
Each time a Dragon wins a skirmish, bearer must exert.
Glaurung issued from the gaping doors, and lay behind, between Túrin and the bridge. Then suddenly he spoke, by the evil spirit that was in him, saying: ’Hail, son of Húrin. Well met!’

I’d do this like most of the Wraith conditions: start it in the support area, and put in some low cost to "transfer this to an unbound companion skirmishing a Dragon".

Bearer must be an unbound companion. Limit one per bearer.
Bearer gains "to assign this character to skirmish, you must exert another companion."
Response: If bearer’s resistance is 0, place bearer in the dead pile.
Then for a long time he stood as one graven of stone; and they two were alone, silent before the doors of Nargothrond.

Yowch! Raise the cost to 3, at least, and I’d also limit this to companions skirmishing Dragons.

Better. But I think I’d do only resistance -2.

While you can spot a Dragon, each companion bearing a Black condition is resistance -1.
If a companion dies, you may exert a dragon to take each shadow condition that companion bore into your hand.
And Túrin being under the spell of Glaurung hearkened to his words, and he saw himself as in a mirror misshapen by malice, and loathed that which he saw.

"is killed" instead of "dies", methinks. Make sure to capitalize "Dragon", too. Other than that, though, this is EVIL. Good, but pure evil. Twisted Evil Actually, maybe a little TOO evil. I’d exert (or heal, if enduring) the Dragon X times to take X such conditions into hand.

Cost doesn’t balance the ability. And, the way it’s currently worded, if you have an enduring dragon you can choose to exert it twice OR heal it twice, which is something that should be addressed. Also, I would simply change it to ’exhaust’ a companion they’re skirmishing, to make it less complicated.

Fun! I’d consider Dain’s point.

Bearer gains "to assign this character to skirmish, you must exert another companion."
Response: If bearer’s resistance is 0, place bearer in the dead pile.
Then for a long time he stood as one graven of stone; and they two were alone, silent before the doors of Nargothrond.

Again very nice, but I have three issues:
1) The Dragon-spell isn’t really a spell, certainly not in the way that Gandalf or the Nazgul cast spells, it’s more of a description of an attribute belonging to dragons, but this is a seriously minor point.
2) It needs ’To play, spot a Dragon’ or to do what Dain suggests as a transferring thing.
3) The resistance 0 bit makes not much sense as a response action, as you can always choose to do a response or not, and it’s not clear who can use the response. To make it clearer, I would say instead ’At the end of each phase (or ’at the start of the regroup phase’ instead), if bearer has resistance 0, place them in the dead pile.’

2 Wicked Ways Black

To play, spot a Dragon.
Each event played in bearer’s skirmish gains "to play, add a threat."
Response: If a Dragon wins a skirmish, you may transfer this condition to the losing companion (limit one per companion).
’Evil have been all thy ways, son of Húrin. Thankless fosterling, outlaw, slayer of thy friend, thief of love, usurper of Nargothrond, captain foolhardy, and deserter of thy kin... Glad may thy father be to learn that he hath such a son; as learn he shall.

I’d rewrite the first ability ’For a player to play an event in a skirmish involving bearer, they must add a threat’ - I think it’s a little clearer. The second ability I’d change to ’If a Dragon wins a skirmish involving a companion, transfer this condition to that companion’ and tag on a ’Limit 1 per bearer’ earlier on in the text.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll make some changes.

Thranduil, how do you suggest I reword Dragon’s Rage? I want it so that if the dragon is enduring, the shadow player MUST heal him (not exert), but how would I make it that way on the card, if the current wording is innefective?

2 A Generous Offer Black
Event * Response
If a skirmish involving a Dragon is about to end, the Free Peoples player must return each companion in that skirmish and all cards they bear to their owners’ hands or add 3 threats. After that skirmish resolves, discard that Dragon.
’See now! I offer thee freedom. Go to thy kin, if thou canst. Get thee gone! And if Elf or Man be left to make tale of these days, then surely in scorn they will name thee, if thou spurnest this gift.’

Each time a Dragon wins a skirmish, you may discard another minion (or remove a threat if you cannot spot any other minions) to discard a Free Peoples possession or artifact.
Then he turned to his own pleasure, and sent forth his blast, and burned all about him. But all the Orcs that were busy in the sack he routed forth, and drove them away, and denied them their plunder even to the last thing of worth.

Artifact * Support Area
If the fellowship moves during the regroup phase, you may heal a Dragon once for each artifact you can spot.
He gathered all the hoard and riches of Felagund and heaped them, and lay upon them in the innermost hall, and rested a while.

1 Consuming Rage Black
Event * Skirmish
Discard a Black or Men minion assigned to skirmish and spot a Black card to make the Free Peoples player exert three companions.
And for anguish, and wrath at the lies that had deluded him, and hatred of the oppressors of Morwen, a black rage seized him, and he slew Brodda in his hall, and other Easterlings that were his guests.

make it "if a dragon wins a skirmish" or else some one will pump their companion then have to return him to hand

’Three’ should be ’3’, and this card is terrible hand-clog. Maybe go with your other theme and make it simply ’discard a Black or Men minion assigned to a skirmish’ and make it a skirmish action.

Which is why it’s so interesting when a card discards them. They should be discarded, but exceedingly rarely and reserved for powerful/magical cultures like Wraith, Sauron Gandalf and Elven.

That’s my opinion, anyway.
