The board is set can be neat if played to cancel dark approach or morgul gates though. |

NBarden wrote: Um...its useless? Come one, Gandalf loves adding twilight in the maneuver or skirmish. Add The Board is Set, cancel an event, whoops! We left a buch of twilight with Deep In Thought, Pallando, Alatar, Radagast, Roll of Thunder, and Down from the Hills! Not to mention a bunch of other cards. Try again, oops, canceled again. WHERE’D THEY GET ?!?!?!
The answer, your deck.
Not every Gandalf deck adds twilight in maneuver. I have like 3 decks that use Gandalf that have no way of adding twilight in maneuver, so The Board is Set would definitely work in those decks.

Oh and this is a Spell, I’m sure there’s somthing to do with this in a Gandalf, Powerful Guide / Ring bound Hobbits deck. |

My gandalf decks do not add lots of twilight cos then obviously i wouldnt use it NB. Id have thought that was obvious not to play it if youre gonna leave 2 in the pool. So i get to cancel nasty stuff played against me. |

LH your right usually people leave just enough twilight to play thier pump and they wouldn’t have enough to pay extra. Although like I said in the Most useless rare card post this rare is useless. |

deep in thought it hardly used. alatar and pallando aren’t always used, and if you move again...I think it is quite useful |

Pallando, Far-Travelling One is used in all my decks that don’t have condition discarding open to them. (In other words, all my non- and non- decks) It’s just such a great card, , , , , and even can get great usage out of this card. Definately not an under-rated rare, it’s not over-rated either. It’s one of those "happy medium" cards. |
