Well, my intention was that you could vote for whoever, probably someone that deserves an award, but may not be the best in anything. The key idea was it is closed to anyone who wins another award. So if 5 people vote for someone, but they win another award, he can’t get it, and it’s moved on to the next in line (or if 3 people get 4 votes each, and 2 get awards elsewhere, the third wins it - although if only one wins, it would be a tie... However you’re determining ties).
So, it could be for someone that deserves an award, but you don’t think is the BEST in any other category, or someone that deserves an award, but you don’t think enough people will vote for in an award, or just a random person voted in by luck and a lack of participation towards any other award.
Anyway, to shorten it: The idea behind the special award was an award that could only be won by someone who didn’t win any other award. (Making it impossible for anyone to take all the awards, and so that any speculation is really a random guess). |

Been a crazy couple of days. Hopefully I can get back to finally wrapping this up next week.
And I’m not assuming everyone’s leaving. Just because the stores are closing, I anticipate many of us will still be around next year at this time to have the second annual FPCA.  |

Ten people have voted (excluding me), which is a little less than I was hoping for, but sufficient, I suppose. My weekend was really crazy, and I’m still a bit busy, so I’ll plan on posting results this Friday, June 29.
Anyone who still wishes to vote, you’re very welcome to do so, but please do by Thursday, because whatever results I have Thursday night are what I’m going with. I have a whole write-up I have to do.
EDIT: I’m going to go through results I already have once time allows to make sure there are no ties. If there are, I’ll be tapping someone who has not yet voted to break those ties, so keep an eye on your PM box if you haven’t voted already! |
