Thanks for the reviews! To finish off the tentacle strategy:

4 Guided By One Purpose Moria
Event • Skirmish
Exert The Watcher in the Water twice to prevent the Ring-bearer from putting on The One Ring.

hmm, maybe add 2-3 burdens

1 Horrible Strength Moria
Event • Skirmish
Make a Moria Creature strength +2 for each wound on the Ring-bearer.

hmm like an event Gorbag, Covetous Captain for moria

0 •The Palantír of OrthancNOLINK, Globe of Fire Isengard
Artifact • Support Area
To play, spot Saruman.
Each time you play Saruman, you may look at the top 3 cards of any player’s draw deck.
At the start of each maneuver phase, you may discard X cards from hand and remove [X] to draw X cards.

It’s a REALLY powerful strategy, but I like this card a lot. Thumbs Up

Good stuff. Works well with your strategy.

Not much I can complain about with this one. GP

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Thanks for the reviews! Here’s a Saruman who combos with that Palantir.

4 •Saruman, The Wise Isengard
Minion • Wizard
Strength: 8
Vitality: 4
Site Number: 4
When you play Saruman, you may play an Isengard artifact from your discard pile or draw deck.
Regroup: Exert Saruman to discard the top card of each player’s draw deck.

And a Ring to help him out:

0 •Saruman’s Ring Isengard
Artifact • Ring
Vitality +1
Bearer must be Saruman.
When you play this artifact, you may look at the top card of a player’s draw deck.
Assignment: Prevent Saruman from being assigned to a skirmish.

Should probably either be a limit there, or a bigger cost, even though you have to discard your own cards too. Seems a little powerful to be able to take out 3 cards from the deck every time this guy shows up with his ring.

I like the whole Saruman/Palantir anti-telepathy thing GP

I wonder if saruman’s ring was a minor ring of power...

Some Isengard Men cards to boost them into playability:

3 Rohirrim Betrayer Isengard
Minion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 2
Site Number: 3
When you play this minion, you may exert a companion bearing an Isengard condition.

1 Informer of Orthanc Isengard
Minion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 1
Site Number: 3
To play, spot an Isengard Man.
While you can spot a unique Isengard Man, this minion is strength +2 for each wound on each character he is skirmishing.

0 •Harsh Tidings Isengard
Condition • Support Area
While you can spot Grima, each wounded companion loses all strength bonuses from possessions.
Response: If a companion is killed, spot an Isengard Man to wound an unbound companion. Discard this condition.

2 Dark News Isengard
Event • Shadow
Exert Grima twice to return an exhausted unbound companion (and all cards he or she bears) to his owner’s hand.

2 •Grima, Cunning Advisor Isengard
Minion • Man
Strength: 4
Vitality: 3
Site Number: 3
Each time a companion exerts, that companion is strength -2 until the end of the turn.

Awesome. Simple and useful.

Minion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 1

Hmm make it +2 or he’s not very good and will still lose.

0 Harsh Tidings Isengard
Event • Response

Good but sitting with this in your hand is a waste make it wound twice and cost or make it a condition.

2 Dark News Isengard
Event • Shadow
Exert Grima twice to return an exhausted unbound companion (and all cards he or she bears) to his owner’s hand.

Niiiiice.

2 •Grima, Cunning Advisor Isengard
Minion • Man
Strength: 4
Vitality: 3
Site Number: 3

Wow thats good. Possibly one of the coolest grimas ever. Maybe a bit too hard actually AC, with the many ways that can happen maybe -1 is ok.
