| ok so the ablilty of pippin, steadfast friend says that pippin is strength +1 for each tale you can spot. but...if i play nine fingered frodo and the ring of doom during a skirmish, does pippin become strength +1 or not? my friend and i got into a meaningless arguement over this. |

No. You don’t spot events when they’re played - the default meaning of ’spot’ is for cards in play only. An event is only in play for a split second as it resolves, if at all.

| oh ok. we weren’t sure, since we were wondering why the heck a skirmish event would say "tale" on it. |

| i’m gonna test a deck out first with frodo, resolute hobbit + the one ring, the great ring, and the bilbo, bearer of things burgled + consorting with wizards and such.. |
