Just tacked a second order on top of it...hopefully Cobra can merge them as I requested. I edited the original topic with the additional cards...just about $7.00 more, but I think it will be more than worth it. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Here’s a suggested decklist for you to work with.
Frodo, Hope of Free Peoples
The One Ring, The Ruling Ring
Legolas, Of the Woodland Realm
Gimli, Eager Hunter (Get Sprinter, he’s a must have in three hunters wounding).
Aragorn, Swift Hunter (Get Thorongil ASAP)
4x Elven Warrior (I think that’s the one with the Aragorn deck. Try to get 4x Elven Guardian ASAP)
4x Even Bow
Try to get Aragorn’s Bow ASAP
3x Hand Axe
Ranger’s Cloak
Legolas’ Sword
Banner of Elbereth x 2 + Elven Sword x 2 (Try to get 4x Sword of the Fallen)
Forth The Three Hunters x 4 (I would have recommended Gondor over Elf, Goblin Scrabbler comes to mind).
Focus x 4 (Most crucial card in the deck, healing!)
Quick as may Be x 4
I would try to get Shake off the Shadow x 4, and a few Namarie.
Once perfected, the deck would look like....
(37 cards)
Frodo, Hope of Free Peoples
The One Ring, The Ruling Ring
Legolas, Of the Woodland Realm
Gimli, Sprinter
Aragorn, Thorongil
4x Elven Guardian
4x Elven Bow
Aragorn’s Bow
Ranger’s Cloak
Legolas’ Sword
4x Sword of the Fallen
3x Hand Axe
4x Forth The Three Hunters
4x Focus
4x Quick as may Be
4x Shake Off the Shadow
Wound like crazy, and use Forth the Three Hunters / Gimli to drop a swarm, or Forth the Three Hunters / Legolas to kill like crazy. If you want, you can exert Aragorn 4 times, win the skirmish with Legolas (strength -12), and then heal with Focus. |

Yeah, Thorongil and Aragorn’s Bow (Ranger’s Longbow might be even better for my purposes, as I’d LOVE to get Gimli’s Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon and Aragorn, Driven By Need and build around threats) will be musts eventually. I’m counting on the extra cards I’m getting in the starter decks to help me do some trades. Shake Off the Shadow and Namarie do indeed look like awesome additions...I’ll have to look into those as well. |

Nah, it’s more like a situation-specific thing, since Thorongil can’t wound. You can use ’em both. |

Thorongil and the regular bow can work together to wound. I use the combo, and it works better than Ranger’s Longbow (with little threat removal and Gimli wounding, you need mass threat removing).
Also, try getting a hold of Ranger’s Longbow. Good luck. |

Pack 3x Hearts Raised, or pack Sting, Elven Long Knife with a few copies of Nine-fingered Frodo and the Ring of Doom. |
I had to put something here. |

Its just better to use the original, because then you don’t have any problems. Packing a whole bunch of threat removal is an inefficient way of doing things. I tried my three hunters deck with both bows, and found the original works best.
BTW, if you’re packing tons of threats, I would suggest Madril, Defender of Osgiliath with a few Ithilien Blade. Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver also helps. Kill with Legolas, heal with Focus, or kill even more with Gimli, Sprinter.
Maybe you could try a Wraiths engine with Stronger and More Terrible. |

This is disappointing. First you politely refuse receiving cards from me for winning a DC contest twice and then you go and buy out Cobra’s shop??
Nah, I’m not gonna hold a grudge. Have fun I wish you success and fun playing people with your deck, if you have any to play with in your area. |
