Thanks, Lem0n, and they’re very unimaginative subtitles. This is because I felt the bearers were so important I’d better mention them in the title!
That’s my excuse for being lazy.
Anyone else?

Moving on with my rings (to any of those that seem to still be here and reviewing DCs, which is surprisingly few), as it’s the final set I of the Lord of the Rings I felt that all the major rings of power should be accounted for.
There have been 5 rings so far (ring of guile, ring of retribution, ring of fury, ring of accretion, ring of artifice) leaving only 2, which are here (though one of them also appears in the final set of my Hobbit block as Durin’s ring):
• Ring of Vengeance
Artifact • Ring
Str: +1
Bearer must be a Dwarf.
Bearer is damage +1.
Skirmish: Exert bearer twice to play a ring from your discard pile.
• Ring of Restitution
Artifact • Ring
Vit: +1
Bearer must be a Dwarf.
Bearer is enduring.

Thanks, lem0n. There are also only 5 rings currently accounted for (ring of ire, ring of asperity, ring of rancor, ring of terror, ring of savagery), so here are the other 4:
(I so far haven’t been bothered to trawl through obscure parts of Tolkien’s works to find good lores for these rings, so don’t expect any!)
• Ring of Twilight
Artifact • Ring
Str: +1
Bearer must be a Nazgul.
Bearer gains hunter 2.
Response: If a player reconciles, return bearer to its owner’s hand.
• Ring of Dominion
Artifact • Ring
Str: +2
Bearer must be a Nazgul.
Each time bearer wins a skirmish, you may replace one of your sites on the site path with a site from your adventure deck.
Response: If a player reconciles, return bearer to its owner’s hand.
• Ring of Despair
Artifact • Ring
Bearer must be a Nazgul.
Bearer is a lurker.
While bearer is assigned to a skirmish, each unbound companion is resistance -1.
Response: If a player reconciles, return bearer to its owner’s hand.
• Ring of Corruption
Artifact • Ring
Vit: +1
Bearer must be a Nazgul.
Each companion bearing a ring is strength -1.
Response: If a player reconciles, return bearer to its owner’s hand.

Hmm very bland make in hunter 2 or 3.

Give it a strength +2 bonus.

Well, lem0n, I’m glad you’re enjoying these cards!
Here are three cards that I’ve used the titles from Age’s End but made their texts worthwhile!
In Twilight
Condition
Bearer must be a Nazgul.
Bearer gains twilight.
Maneuver: Discard a Nazgul or artifact from hand to exert the Ring-bearer.
• Urgency
Conditon • Support Area
While you can spot Saruman, the twilight cost of each weather card is -1.
Each time you play a weather card, you may exert a companion or ally.
Sauron’s Might
Event • Maneuver
To play, spot your minion of a culture and choose one: remove a threat; remove a burden; remove a token of the same culture; or remove .
Then, choose one: add a threat; add a burden; reinforce a token of the same culture; or add .

LOL yes i am Thran, genuinely in fact theyre quite smart, but shame i am the only one reviewing them!

Hmm intriguing. Swap lurker for something more useful and i like it.

Conditon • Support Area

Certainly better than the other one.
 Sauron’s Might
Event • Maneuver
To play, spot your minion and choose one: remove a threat; remove a burden; remove your culture token; or remove .
Choose one: add a threat; add a burden; reinforce your culture token; or add .
Wow that has to be the most versatile card ever. Nice

I’ve added the option of muster to In Twilight. Is this good?
And also, do you think my urgency makes weather decks playable?

Marginally Thran. I dont think you can make an entire deck around them maybe half of one with the other half being solo saruman or something perhaps. |

hmm, the maneuver text doesn’t really seem to fit with the twilight Nazgul theme. Maybe something like: Discard 2 cards to exert the Ring-bearer, if the Ring-bearer is then exhuasted, he or she wears the One Ring until the regroup phase. What do you think?
 • Urgency
Conditon • Support Area

Nice! I don’t see what Urgancy has to really do with the weather, but cool card.

Choose one: add a threat; add a burden; reinforce your culture token; or add .
I would use it. You might want to up the cost a little as any minion culture can use it. Maybe to 1, IDK, what do you think? Also, I think you might want to word it like this: spot your minion to choose one: remove a threat; remove a burden; remove your culture token; or remove . You may then choose one: add a threat; add a burden; reinforce your culture token; or add .
Overall: Great job. Really liked how you redesigned these cards. Have a GP for some cool stuff. |
