Well, I would hardly say I’m a expert, but I’ll give it a shot....

I would say the twilight reduction is OP, but we have the sons of Elrond to thank for this being okay as-is. I think I’d either make that skirmish ability exert twice or be limited to once or twice per skirmish, though. Dwarves DO have easy damage bonuses, though...it MIGHT be okay to leave it.

I’d definately limit the skirmish ability here, maybe by simply just saying "(limit +4)", but he’s okay otherwise.

Exert a Dwarf to spot a minion. Until the regroup phase, that minion may not be assigned to skirmishes.
Cool. MAYBE require spotting a couple Dwarves to avoid this being used in any ol’ fellowship with Gimli, though with the relatively high cost that may not be necessary.

•Fili, Young Dwarf
Companion • Dwarf
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 5
While you can spot Kili, Fili is damage +1.
Assignment: Exert Kili and assign a minion to skirmish Fili to make that minion lose special abilities until the regroup phase.
Fili and Kili, however, who were young (for dwarves)...came out more or less smiling.
•Kili, Sharp-Eyed Dwarf
Companion • Dwarf
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 5
While you can spot Fili, Kili gains hunter 1.
Maneuver: Exert Fili to make the shadow player choose one: return a minion to its owners hand, remove a threat, or remove .
The end of their argument was that they sent Fili and Kili to look for better shelter. They had sharp eyes, and being the youngest of the dwarves...they usually got these sort of jobs.

my overall impression is that they are over powered. kili is fine. fili’s ability should exert kili twice, otherwise it’s too easy to do. and barrel riding is too easy as well especially since dwarves are loaded with cheap accessable possessions. but good ideas i like the cards.

I disagree with MM; exerting twice seems too high a cost. Although yours does seem a bit low. I’d say exert and add a threat.

Now the threat thing would tie in here, as well. If they can’t (or won’t) remove , then they’d have to return a minion or remove one of the threats.

I think I’d actually swap their strength and resistance values as their abilities are quite powerful, but I think that’s mostly personal preference
Interesting cards.

Time for an artifact.
•The Arkenstone, Treasure of the House of Thror
Artifact • Support Area
To play, spot Bilbo and Thorin.
Bilbo is strength +1 for each of the following races you can spot: Dwarf, Elf, Man.
Each Dwarf is damage +1 and resistance -1.
Each man is strength +1 and resistance -1.
Each Elf gains hunter 1 and resistance -1.
"It was like a globe with a thousand faces; it shone like silver in the firelight, like water in the sun, like snow under the stars, like rain upon the moon!"
Quiet as Can Be
Event • Fellowship or Maneuver
Stealth. Toil .
Spot a Hobbit and a Dwarf to remove (or if you can spot Bilbo).
The dwarves could not, of course, compare with the hobbit in real stealth, and they made a deal of puffing and shuffling which echoes magnified alarmingly, but though every now and again Bilbo stopped and listened, not a sound stirred below. |

are you kidding me!! up to 8 twilight removed in the fellowship phase. that would kill almost every shadow. no, maybe if it was remove or if you can spot bilbo.
