Since it looks like I’m first for once, I’ll give this a full review. Smile

Lurker. Ambush 2.
Each other Moria Orc is ambush 1.
While the Great Goblin is at an underground site he is strength + 2 and fierce.
Maneuver or Skirmish: Exert the Great Goblin twice to discard a free peoples possession.
"There in the shadows on a large flat stone sat a tremendous goblin with a huge head..."

Fits very well with the story, but I think he might be a TAD overpowered. With all that going on, I think he should cost 6 at least.

Archer. To play, spot a Gandalf companion.
Archery: Exert Bard twice and discard 5 cards from hand to discard a minion from play.
"But there was still a company of archers that held their ground among the burning houses. Their captain was Bard, grim-voiced and grim-faced...."

Nice and simple, but that archery ability might have been better at 4 cards. Still, I’d use him, for the fact that he’s an archer if nothing else.

6Bert, Mutton Hater Orc
Minion • Troll
Strength: 15
Vitality: 3
Site Number: 4
Damage +1. Fierce. To play spot an Orc minion.
While you cannot spot 4 companions, Bert is strength -2.
”’Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don’t look like mutton again tomorrer...’”

Good. Nice and balanced. No complaints, but a tad bland.

4Thranduil, Elvenking of Mirkwood Green

Muster.
While you can spot 3 Green Elves, each minion skirmishing a Green Elf is strength -1.
Maneuver: Exert Thranduil to reveal the top card of your draw deck. If it is an Elven or Green card, you may take it into hand and exert a minion.
”In a great hall with pillars hewn out of the living stone sat the Elvenking on a chair of carven wood.”

I like him, but since you don’t have a Green culture built up around him in this contest, he is hurt a bit by not being Elven culture.

While you can spot another Gandalf Man, Bard is an archer.
While you can spot an Elf, Bard is strength +2.
While you can spot a Dwarf, Bard is damage +1.
’I am Bard, and by my hand was the dragon slain and your treasure delivered.’

Good, but I’m personally not a big fan of 6/3 guys that start off costing 3, no matter what their potential benefits are. Still, I AM a fan of cards that encourage rainbow fellowships, and I love that THIS one encourages a Gandalf Man deck using their staples (other Gandalf Men and Dwarves) but ALSO brings in Elves. Very cool.

Tough choice, as always in this contest. Such great competitors! Applause But I think I’ll go with:

Lost Heir

Bard has been made? Think I think you’re getting him confused with Brand. Trust me, I thought long and hard about the rules.

I vote AP and LH as they are the only other ones who followed the rules, Bard has been made by Decipher already which is why i stated it. I wanted to see some new characters.

Hey, you’re thinking of Brand, King of Dale. Bard’s grandson. Razz

Who would imagine a round where AC and I were fighting for just ONE vote to avoid elimination. Seems to be happening a lot lately.

Please, just ONE vote. Pray I thought people would like my Greenleaf-like Bard....
