| Cards like Lotus Bloom and esp. Black Lotus are so rare because there’s so few copies in existance, I suppose. |

| Nope, something`s definitely amiss. Someone might have mistaken it for a Black Lotus, or it might be signed b the author, be foil and in japanese, or something REALLY good. Black Lotus IS indeed rare, and it`s bah-roken as it can get, but Lotus Bloom is still circulating, and it`s fairly easy to get, it`s going for `round 8-9 dollars here. |

No way. Maybe it was a black lotus. As for playability, it was a part of the combo to win on round 1. As for rarity, Alpha is long gone and black lotus copies are limited. |

Well, Black Lotus is rare to find, and it’s SOOO broken I can’t even start describing! Just look up Gatherer and picture the following opening (not so hard to get, you know):
- Any  producing land;
- Black Lotus
- Channel
- Any [X] spell, like Demonfire, Fireball, Lavaburst, Blaze, Disintegrate, etc. |
